Cross posting from another thread but, we've been outscored 42-0 in the 4th quarter of our last two games.  That's completely effing inexcusable.  Can you imagine Ohio St allowing its coach to give up, say, 21 to Northwestern, then 21 to Michigan in back to back, 4th quarters?

Texas has averaged, AVERAGED 28 yards rush.. per game, in the last 3 match ups against Georgia.

28 yard per game average. (Today took the average down)

Not 28 yards a quarter or half.

28 per game average.

Did we get all 28 yards in the first 3 minutes tonight?  Seems like it.

He got burned betting on Wingos development. He got burned staying loyal to the RB room, which is insane, because RB injuries cost him at least one national title appearance. I don’t know what happened with Neto at LG, but he got burned on that too. Texas bet on the development of a roster they spent a lot of time and money retaining. It never came to fruition. Roster management was mediocre.

We didn't make it to 28 yards tonight.

I would say it was well below the level of not very good or moderate quality if you prefer.

Sark said in the 4th quarter we sucked in all 3 phases and didn’t play complimentary football, in his post game presser. He said we ran the ball well. Well? Is he referring to the Sugar Bowl with Sam? We aren’t running the ball well at all. We didn’t in OSU and we didn’t against Georgia. We have struggled to establish the run all year. We had ten points. It was a bitch to get those ten. And it just fell apart like a cheap suit. Like always in our losses. Yet we were still in it despite an anemic running game, and when the wheels were falling off I saw not one spark of fire in Sark or yelling or pumping shit up. I saw this be for the wheels fell off in the 4th. Who is he kidding? You can coach speak in pressers without insulting our box score reading intelligence,

The issue I have with this line of thinking is that it's not 1983.  Sark has advantages that, maybe, 3 or 4 other schools have.  The floor should be the playoffs every year minus some sort of catastrophe like the starting QB getting injured for the year.

As far as the bolded... Yeah, don't think OU, aggy, and Tech (to a lesser extent) are too bothered by the neutralization right now.

Give it a year.

ChatGPT with specific prompts.

I like it. This is how chat gpt told me to draft this year in fantasy for reference.  Tbf Jahmyr Gibbs in the 3rd WOULD have been a steal

Well maybe Steve's definition of running the ball well is getting above 20 yards. Under 20, like Florida is bad and as such we've only run it poorly once this year.

I'd rather not, thanks.

Maybe if Sark could solely focus on being OC and we just hired a co-HC to help with other phases of the ball things would work out? That’s all I can think. Because even if he stays some kinds of changes are going to have to be made to the staff and possibly approaches to other things. And that’s usually a precursor to the end. Ugghhhh…

Here's what's probably going to happen for next year. Ready?

Steve Sarkisian will be the head coach and play caller.

I like turtles!

We have been out scored by a combined 42–0 in the fourth quarter over the past two games.

So Sark can miss me with that “culture” bullshit. His team cannot close a game for shit. That’s losing culture in crunch time.

It looks right. I spell pretty decent. Stoned or not.
we ran the ball well man. Well.

if that’s well what is run poorly? What do most games with W’s have in common? At least 100 yds running? Or similar. We have a fifth of that. If that’s well I don’t want to see what sark considers bad.

Steve doesn't believe anything he does is bad. I'm not sure he even understands numbers.

But he is a master of not letting a football game distract him from focusing on his YouTube pod casts during a football game. So there is that.

Seems to me Sark did a really shitty job in assessing Arch Manning's capabilities or a really shitty job in developing those capabilities. He put all his eggs in one basket and it ain't workin' out. You need a strong starting QB and a strong backup who gets plenty of playing time. The Starter needs to get us big leads and the backup needs to come in and score as many points as possible - you know, "all gas blah blah blah." Meaning not just hand off the ball a few fucking times in the fourth quarter. If the Starter can't get us big leads, he needs to sit down and give the backup a shot. When the starter struggles, pull him. The Sark/Manning combo has been a clusterfuck.

Seems I saw some pretty awesome highlights outta Trey Owens, who I presume is long gone because Sark made a fucking mess of things.

I wonder if anyone has heard any rumors about how many hours a day Sark works. I gotta believe he isn't willing to put in what's necessary to take us to the next level. Being a head coach isn't for everybody.

Trey Owens got passed by a scrub from Troy. That’s nobodies fault but his own.

Not surprised. I haven't been keeping up with recruiting, and at this point I'm afraid to try.

Awesome. And respect for not feeling the need to explain the joke.

(Whenever I see Joseph referenced in a broadcast, I immediately break into my Sergio Dipp impression, which I’m sure irritates the hell out of my wife more than I usually do.)

We’re gonna have a ton of kids portal out and sark will rearrange the deck chairs on the titanic with new corches and new portal players all over the field for his last season. Can’t wait.

After hiring 2 offensive geniuses can we hire an inspiring defensive mind similar to Freeman, Lanning, Glenn Schumann, etc?

That won't be good enough for you, either.

To sum it up, Sark is just not an elite HC or even close.

Given his history and 3/5 years at Texas he isn’t even a good coach

How many kids portal out this year? How many corches get replaced? It’s gonna be the off season of rearranging the deck chairs before sark gets fired.

Wonder if we will start to see players banged up and sit out? Wonder how many opt out of bowl?

Our secondary sucks. So many plays - some critical plays where the receiver was wide open.

How do we train our secondary on third and 11 to play 20 yards off the wr?

33 on first drive, finished with 23.  RB’s went 10 for 40.

Check out who the kick went to.  Doubt that was on purpose, but  . . .  fuuuuuuck.

I might be misremembering, but wasn't the whole front line moving backward with the kick?

If your argument is who can we find that is a better coach that is a losing argument. I fully realize Texas isn’t firing Sark and anyone thinking that is in fantasy land but it’s clear to me now we absolutely can do better. The look on his face after that onside kick is the look of somehow who did not even consider that play as a possibility and never prepared the players for it. The man is in over his head and we can debate if it is because he is spread to thin as OC or drinking again or he just flat out sucked to begin with but he is not a championship caliber coach and every time we play one we get our asses kicked.

2 minutes ago, Im_smarter_then_you said:

Certainly didn’t look prepared.

Too eager to get back and block so Texas could return the kick to the 14 yard line.

A flat out lie. If we had prepared for it he would be throwing shit and yelling at the players in frustration. Instead he had that Quaker in a titty bar look on his face like he did not know the rules allowed for an onside kick in that situation.

Kirby just casually shitting all over our culture.

Sark should probably move on and needs a change of scenery due to his personal life issues.  I think he knows it.
