Even if I did decide to fuck myself, I would accept the consequences of my own actions, and wouldn't try to blame some "disease" to excuse myself from my decision. See, where I come from, when you have evidence that says alcohol is a disease, and the thousands upon thousands of people who literally dedicate their lives to researching it say that alcohol is a disease, and the people who treat it like a disease recover while those who try the "oh it's just discipline" continue to spiral into worse and worse alcoholism, then... where I come from, only complete fucking idiots would then go on to say "hurr hurr it's not a disease derp derp." Apparently you don't come from there, you come from dipshitopolis where the millions of man-hours of research can be conveniently ignored with a flippant toss of ignorance. How cute your tiny brain is! Look y'all, it thinks it can think for itself!

Shit...I better watch out who I'm hanging around with, otherwise I could catch alcoholism...

I guess by your definition, Type 2 Diabetes is also not a disease, just a lack of self control. Or Lung Cancer. No vaccinations against those either.
November 25Nov 25 anyway, one last gif for Lou: It's awfully nice of Lou to let us all know that we needn't ever consider his opinions or thoughts on anything to be valuable in such a straightforward and forthright way.

Stop taking alcohol craving medicine and all that happens is you're once again presented with the choice of giving in to your craving.

This is what I call applying your definition to other examples, or a comparison. Once again, you're a dumbass. Type 2 Diabetes can be adequately controlled with diet, exercise, and weight loss if identified early enough. Or flat out prevented with diet/exercise/weight loss. It doesn't require medications 100% of the time. So, again, by your definition, it's just a lack of self control, not a disease. Lung cancer can be prevented by having the self control to not pick up a cigarette. So not a disease according to you.

Either way, if he gives us more posts to neg, I'm ok with that. Edited November 25Nov 25 by TheBryMan81

Lol, have you noticed that I haven't belittled, talked down upon, or insulted anyone? Do you know why? It's because the true sign of intelligence is being able to have your opinions and worldviews criticized without whining, crying, belittling, or insulting those who disagree with you. Some people just think they're better and smarter than everyone, and if people don't agree with them, then they're fucking stupid and need to be insulted. .. and quite frankly... thats sad. I'm intelligent enough to know that I have my opinions and you have yours, without having to try to make myself feel superior by insulting and belittling you.

Naltrexone helps reduce cravings by blocking alcohol's pleasurable effects, acamprosate works by helping restore brain chemistry, and disulfiram causes an unpleasant physical reaction if a person drinks alcohol. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I'll read it thoroughly, and do some more research on it, and may perhaps change my opinion. However, I will say that the article does day that certain genes may only increase the risk. You still have to make the choice.

There's a reason "Step 1" in AA is "honesty."

November 25Nov 25 While some would say it is a disease transferred by the former college QB gene in my opinion the condition known as "abandoning the run" is definitely a choice.

This is just the tiniest tip of the massive iceberg of research that thousands of people smarter than both of us have dedicated their entire lives and careers towards understanding. You are insulting all those people with your ignorance here. Don't claim you're not insulting anyone; you are insulting and pissing on the work and lives of thousands of brilliant researchers have done on this with what you're saying. That you had never heard of a link between genetics and alcoholism - something researchers had established decades before you were born - until now should clue you in into just how little you know about the crap you're saying.

November 25Nov 25 I love how certain people these days try to claim that they are being treated unfairly for having a different opinion, when in reality they are grossly uneducated and spouting nonsense like the rubes they are, too stupid to even recognize their own stupidity. These people are an epidemic these days as we watch disinformation expose them all. I’m sure this rube has been fooled by many many other things as well.

November 25Nov 25 Back to the topic at hand. For those of you who trust Sark to be able to fix this mess he has created in the running game, here are the rushing yards per game ranks the last 5 years. For reference I have added the rushing ranks for Herman's tenure. Btw Herman's last RB recruit was J Brooks who left after 2023. Sark has had 2 years to replenish the RB room and has failed to do so either by arrogance or ineptitude. Texas Rushing Yards the last 5 years 2025- 121.7/game ranked 102nd 2024- 159.9/game ranked 69th (nice) 2023- 188.4/game ranked 23rd 2022- 188.2/game ranked 34th 2021- 199.3/game ranked 27th Herman's 4 years 2020- 195.3/game ranked 37th 2019- 177.2/game ranked 46th 2018- 153.2/game ranked 80th 2017- 140/game ranked 93rd
