Scottie had to have the shaft replaced on his putter + new grip.

Brutal is not the word I would use. It's a test, that is for sure but nothing about it is brutal.

I didn’t say it’s a brutal course but that it’s playing that way. I’d say Texas being 28 over par and still leading by 3 is a pretty good indicator of tough conditions. Stanford is ranked 12th in the nation and is +83 after 2 rounds.

Just watched it. Glad we won, if not that decision to finish last night would have been tough to work through.

Really feel for Pierceson, that was a tough last hour of golf for him.

Back to back wins headed into postseason?  Good momentum.

April 25-27 is the Big 12 championship
May 16-18 NCAA regionals
May 28-30 NCAA championship stroke play
May 31-June 1 NCAA quarters/semis match play and championship match

Reposting the same pics from the tweets in the previous post is a new level of inanity, even for you, @LTtxfan. Strong move.

Men's Golf's Travis Vick named to 2022 U.S. Arnold Palmer Cup team

UT junior will compete with Team USA at the prestigious event on July 1-3 in Switzerland.

AUSTIN, Texas — University of Texas Men's Golf junior Travis Vick will represent the United States at the 2022 Arnold Palmer Cup, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Tuesday. Vick is one of 12 men's players selected to the American squad that will compete on July 1-3 at the Golf Club de Geneve in Vandoeuvres, Switzerland.

The Arnold Palmer Cup was co-founded by Arnold Palmer and the GCAA and began at the Bay Hill Club & Lounge in Orlando in 1997. The event is a Ryder Cup-style tournament featuring the top men's and women's university/college golfers matching the United States against a team of International players. Beginning with the 2018 matches at Evian Resort Golf Club, the Palmer Cup is the only major tournament which features men and women playing side-by-side as partners.

During his junior season in 2021-22, Vick has posted a team-best 70.48 scoring average and recorded five top-10 and seven top-15 individual finishes in nine stroke-play events this season. He is No. 28 in the current World Amateur Golf Rankings (April 13).

An Academic All-Big 12 Second Team selection in 2022, Vick tied for fourth place at the Southwestern Invitational (Jan. 24-26) at 5-under-par 211 (70-67-74). He placed fifth at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational (April 2-3) at 10-under-par 206 (68-67-71).

Vick also tied for seventh at three tournaments earlier this season, the Western Intercollegiate (April 11-13) at 4-over-par 214 (73-73-68), the Maridoe Collegiate Invitational (Sept. 13-15) at even-par 216 (71-74-71) and the Southern Highlands Collegiate (Feb. 27-March 1) at 9-under-par 207 (69-69-69). Last summer, he advanced to the semifinals at the 2021 U.S. Amateur.

Current UT senior Pierceson Coody competed for the winning U.S. team at the 2021 Arnold Palmer Cup, held last summer (June 11-13) at Rich Harvest Farms outside Chicago. Texas assistant coach Jean-Paul Hebert also served as an assistant coach for the United States team at the 2021 Arnold Palmer Cup.

The Oklahoma schools are showing why they’re #1 and #2 in the country today

I guess we made them mad lol. The Big 12 has 3 of the top 5 and 4 of the top 9? Dang.

The Oklahoma schools are slipping a bit on the back 9. Going to be a tight finish!

Edited by perfectchaos007

Texas tied with blOU for 1st at  -14

Both currently on Holes 15-18

Texas falling apart at the end.  +7 on last four holes and OU +3

DAMN...

Yeah currently

  • blOU       -15
  • Texas      -13
  • okie lite   -12   Final

1 or 2 holes left to play for Texas and blOU

Both teams with 2 left on the course.  Texas +8 last four holes, OU +4

The big difference came in the last four holes

Oklahoma +3 (1 double, 3 birdies)

Oklahoma St +5 (1 triple, 1 double, 3 birdies)

Texas +9 (1 double, 7 bogeys, no birdies)

Hopefully, they'll learn from this and whup ass at the regionals

That was quite the up and down day. 3rd place in the big 12 isn’t bad though but we could have just as easily finished 1st. Oh well

It won't be surprising if all 3 of those teams are in the final 4 of match play in a few weeks.

Not sure why Texas has to go to blOU's Regional... but it would be nice to kick their ass !!!
