Was there no sodas for sale? It seems like there's a lot of whining about stuff that's just not as nice as DKR. It's notbsupposed to be that way.

Also why would you go to a gate with a line there are plenty of gates. Some of you can't walk? How did you get to the stadium to begin with?

I tried to order a maple bacon old fashioned from the concession guy on the east side concourse and he told me they didn't have it.....what a fucking dump.

That's the one thing I wish would change. They should flip sides of the stadium every year. I'd be more inclined to go again if the experience was from the opposite end we've never experienced.

Tweet cdc.

he has the power to do that every other year.

But also, fuck that

Fuck that entire side of the stadium, including the fucking tunnel….

No, no, no. Then we'd all just be complaining about how hard it was to get into that end of the stadium and how the tunnel end ran out of concessions.

I am hoping that the 2025 version is vastly improved because the place is a shit hole that is not designed to hold 90K. I will also say the talent was on full display, but where are the titties in today's female college student?

You must mean “fuck Texas for never choosing the tunnel” but that’s not going to be a popular position here.

Yeah, was awful, but was more than made up by the level of talent on display this year. Talent was next level on the warm day.

Hmmm.  OU fans didn’t have any problems leaving…they filed out quietly and orderly starting in the 3rd qtr.

Why do you keep posting this?  Are you retarded?  The stadium tickets are allocated 50/50.  OU gets a section down in the Texas end zone to make up for those lost to the tunnel.  Now I'm sure they consider those their "worst" tickets to hand out, but they are not shorted tickets.

It's been this way....forever.

And this is why I stayed in that end even when I could’ve moved.

I politely disagree, I always want our dogs running through the blO-U side first then coming home to our endzone.  Those fuckwad dirt burglars only get to run out then immediately head to their sideline - it's half-assed and perfectly suits those half-assed sumbitches.

They haven't had that OU section opposite the tunnel for the last several years. I have no idea how they are making up the difference in the number of tickets given to UT and OU, but the red in the middle of the UT side used to be clearly noticeable but it's not there anymore.

As for the fair and Cotton Bowl experience, it's a crowded clusterfuck but if you know what you are doing you can mitigate it to some degree. The heat just makes everything worse. Gate A is an absolute shitshow, but we entered the "line" at 1:30 and got in just before 2, about thirty minutes. It obviously grew in that time so after that it's at least 45 minutes probably and you don't feel like you are moving. Yes they should get rid of the picnic tables blocking everything up but the real constraint is the ticket scanners. Also if more people realized you can enter at any of the stadium gates. I wanted to avoid Gate A, but my buddy just wanted to experience the mass of humanity so we dealt with it.

Concession sales in the stadium are shit, I got lucky with a vendor just loading up his cooler and the lined hadn't formed yet.

Coupon lines in the far end of the Midway (SE side) are much more manageable than the 75-100 deep lines on the Big Tex side of the fairgrounds. Spend time in the Auto Show and use buildings when you can to navigate around and avoid the most densely crowded areas.

Parked for free on the same block I always do, half-mile from the side entrance to fair grounds (near the Midway) no traffic driving in, minimal traffic leaving.

23rd year in a row. Wouldn't miss it.

The tunnel being the OU end was only an issue when Mack was a giant pussy about it. Sark seems to have no issues and the POV videos look pretty awesome with how fast it goes from booing to OU SUCKS

Nah they still do it, know an OU person who got some there last year.  It's only about 700 tickets some immediately on the ground and some in the upper deck.  You're not noticing it as much because Venables has a shit show on his hands and a lot of Okies are selling.  I saw a good amount of burnt orange sprinkled in on the south side yesterday and had no Sooners in my immediate vicinity on our end for what seems like the first time in forever

If you heard that from someone who gets tickets from OU I’ll take your word for it. But I’ve specifically noticed it over the past three or so years. Before, the red used to be very clearly noticeable in the “makeup” sections for tunnel and scoreboard.

This is from last year when both teams were unbeaten going in, like not even more than a couple red shirts there:

I made it to the fairgrounds but couldn’t find the stadium. While waiting in line for a corn dog an aggy overheard me asking for directions. All the self-centered, uppity Longhorn fans ignored my plea, but fortunately this kind, service-minded aggy offered to help. Not only did he give me directions but he went above and beyond by actually walking me there.

As the game went on I thought about his kindness, the spirit of aggyland, and couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like if aggy was taking the field yesterday. In hindsight I’m glad they didn’t, because if they did I honestly think I might have found myself rooting for them.

Guess arky has forgotten what College Station is like.

Aggies were originally celebrating Jerry World and that game as something that would at least equal the tradition of Texas-OU.
