December 12, 20214 yr Merry Christmas to me!My husband left with the kids yesterday to go skiing and I’ll fly up tomorrow after watching my bears crush Villanova today in courtside seats! Even if we lose, I win escaping a 15 hour car ride with my five angels!

December 12, 20214 yr I have the 1 month old by myself today, or I’d be there. Frustrating one to miss. That’s the perfect age to bring one! I would offer to take a shift holding but my courtside seats might be kind of dangerous for a newborn. /humblebrag
December 12, 20214 yr Author 25-9, TO Nova 3:01 to play 1st half Edited December 12, 20214 yr by El Diablo
December 12, 20214 yr Nova is an early season FF pick for me but they look like shit, Bears having something to do with that.

Neither team looks particularly sharp, Baylor's playing a little bit better. That last 3 minutes was not the way to end the half if you're a Bear.
December 12, 20214 yr Baylor is the only team in the top 10 I'm even close to sold on for any kind of pick. e: Actually the top 25 in general. Edited December 12, 20214 yr by Brian Fantana
December 12, 20214 yr Villanova, 78 ppg, plays a Big 12 defense, on pace to score a little over 30. Seems about right. I wonder if Beard regrets teaching Drew the no middle Edited December 12, 20214 yr by Brian Fantana
December 12, 20214 yr Author 'Nova has essentially 4 seniors in their starting 5, very experienced team.
December 12, 20214 yr Our defense is stifling. Total dominance. Disappointed in offense especially offensive boards. Haven’t looked at the stats but seemed not good.

December 12, 20214 yr Ok whatever mild crush I had on jay Wright is dead. Incessant bitching to refs and fouling down by twenty?? Embarrassing.

December 12, 20214 yr ISU/Baylor could legitimately end with less points than the football game had.For the record, I see us losing that game. We are Dollar General Baylor. I mean that as a compliment to both us and Baylor.
December 13, 20214 yr Big 12 games are going to be races to 50 this season, with many teams unable to get there. Brutal, brutal league. (On that note, nice to see the Fighting Als back in form. Getting a W at Hilton promises to be a major feat once again.)

I always look forward to the rumbles with West Virginia, where both teams run 40-45 total fouls in 40 minutes.
December 14, 20214 yr Yeah, this isn't last year's team. Offense is still a work in progress. Good news is that Flagler can get his shot anytime he wants. Also, Kendall Brown has unlimited potential. Dude could be really special. It all comes down to if Mayer and Akinjo can play within themselves for the betterment of the team or if they manage to fuck it up. More worried about Mayer. But CSD seams to have a quick trigger on pulling him as evident in the Villanova game.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
December 16, 20214 yr Tech is possibly down 2 guards vs. Gonzaga which is not ideal, one of them being TJ Shannon. Might be an ugly game if they both can't go.
December 18, 20214 yr Zags v Red Raiders at noon Central Time, not on ESPN or ABC, but on big CBS TJ Shannon is expected to play Tech has one good big to try to counter Timme and Holmgren. About a 8-9 point dog. We'll see how it goes It's a neutral site game in Phoenix at the Sun's arena Should be lots of Red Raiders there as a lot of us end up in the Valley of the Sun or are going as an excuse to get to a warm area to play golf and such
December 18, 20214 yr Think a lot depends on how physically we're allowed to defend. If there are lots of ticky tack fouls I don't have much hope.
December 18, 20214 yr Author Baylor's an 8 pt favorite on the road at Oregon Ducks tonight. Game tips at 9pm CST on ESPN2. Kinda wondering how long before we start seeing games affected by the 'VID this year.
December 18, 20214 yr We don't match up well against this Gonzaga team, need to start getting some better looks.
December 18, 20214 yr Man it's amazing what being down a couple of guards will do to your team. All that depth just seems like it becomes nothing.
December 18, 20214 yr Well shit considering we missed 5 point blank shots and went 33% from the FT line, I'll take just being down 8 at the half.
December 18, 20214 yr Tech missing way too many layups/ point blank shots. The flop warning was total bullshit, but that's not controllable. Make the easy shots!
December 18, 20214 yr I don't think we have the horses to win this without Shannon playing, but it's nice to see us playing pretty well without him. We've done a great job neutralizing Timme and Holmgren, but they're uncharacteristically hot from 3, not much you can do about that.
December 18, 20214 yr Would have loved to have won that of course, but there wasn't much hope from the beginning without Shannon. Really liked how we neutralized Timme and Holmgren on the offensive end. This team will be pretty good in a month or so.
