As in Christmas Eve & Christmas, or just in general?

My bad.  Mid January, so generalish.

Franklin and Stiles Switch are closed Mondays.  Micklethwait is Thursday-Sunday. Leroy & Lewis is Wednesday-Sunday.  Terry Black's is open 7 days per week.

That should get you started.

Also, if "Sunday PM" means "dinner", you might want to focus on Stiles Switch & Terry Black's, but some of the others might still be open.

Terry Black's is the answer.  Solid for a place that keeps regular hours 7 days a week.

Planning first trip to Snows BBQ next month.

Do they sell beer or should we bring our own ?

They take credit cards ?

they have a bloody mary station but not until around 7, I believe.  show up no later than 5 and bring your own booze.  and they take credit cards.

Still worth the stop. Brisket is a little above avg (good flavor), ribs are good, sausage is among my fave. Very fresh crackers …

Are those prices on the menu board current?  I haven't seen a pound of brisket or ribs for $20 a pound in a long time.

current

One of three slices was very dialed in. 2nd slice was fair. 3rd slice was dry, needed sauce for sure.

Knock yourself out. Last time I went there they should have paid me to eat the garbage they served me.

Any of yall eaten at Rejino in Olton? Any good?

I sampled some of their barbecue at the TM BBQ Picnic in November, but can't remember anything about it.  I would certainly give it a try if I found myself in Olton or Plainview again or, heaven forbid, spending multiple days in Lubbock.  If I'm simply passing through Lubbock, I'm getting Evie Mae's every time.

the first slice off the brisket, was pretty damn good

Had a delicious sliced brisket and sausage sangwich from Helberg today. Didn't even have time to get pics.  Just as good as it always has been.

Their bbq sauce is my Platonic ideal of sauce. It's what I try to emulate when I make mine at home.

If I told you I'd have to kill you. And then smoke you for about 12-15 hours. And then serve you with the sauce.

Then Netfilix would make a movie about it.

It would be called Fried Green Tomatoes 2.

A rare shot of Hornian with his favorite BBQ spread, as he proclaims "the most important thing about barbecue is sauce:"

Their recipe or like theirs was posted on TOS. Was damn good IMO, I have it saved at home but I'm in Colorado for the next few weeks. Sure someone else has it

Eh. I like sauce for making chopped brisket for the kids, and for ribs. And it don't bother me none if someone else puts sauce on my brisket.

And this is what pops up if you search for "water off a duck's back" in the GIF search:

She's a duck.  Do you know any named ducks, besides "Donald"?

Howard the

Had lunch at Hutchin’s in McKinney last week.  There isn’t a more reliably good option north of 635, and despite the line being out the door, they move things along pretty efficiently.  The downside is it was $65 for my dad and I to have a light lunch.

Beat me to it.  As an old fart who lived through the Cuban missile crisis, I still remember those Civil Defense commercials as well as some in our neighborhood who had bomb shelters built in their backyards.  Made for some great battle play for us kids.
