Bad speyling

Man, a missed play on a fly ball and a missed strike 3 call have cost 2 runs.

Ron Washington showing evidence of his injury

Why not send the runner? No way they get him at home.

What the fuck is Ron Washington coked up?  Gnats as bad a non send as I’ve ever seen.

Freeman needs to land the kill shot

Buehler should’ve been out of this inning with 0 runs allowed. He’s gotta be frustrated but he also can’t throw a 4 pitch walk with the bases loaded.

Giving up grand slams is more of a Houston thing.

why wouldn’t you play Taylor or Mookie in center and let Lux play one of the corner outfield spots?

The "rationalization" is that with Lux being a middle infielder, he is used ot seeing balls off the bat up the middle better than tailing balls in either corner spot.  I get it.  Not sure I agree, but I don't think you put him in the outfield at all.

he gets blown away by two 97 mph fastballs that were middle-up, just perfect for driving, and then ends up crushing a 1-2 fastball that's 4 inches above the zone. damn nice comeback during that AB.

This is a great series, hoping for some Bravos magic in top of 9th.

That's brutal if you are a Braves fan.

Yep.  I realize they're up 2-1, but it just feels like all the momentum of the series has switched dugouts with that comeback.  Got a bad feeling the Braves will be down 3-2 when this series heads back east.

there is nothing more dodger fan than leaving the stadium and missing a playoff win

Atlanta sports are so cursed we're even rebooting the classics now. A chance to take a commanding series lead, but a relief pitcher giving up a home run on his secondary pitch and not his dominant out pitch is just Mark Wohlers vs Jim Leyritz in the 1996 World Series, but this time the dominant pitch was a slider and the pitch he gave up the home run on was a fastball. You have to appreciate the writers for at least adding a little bit of irony if we're just remaking the classics.

With a “bullpen game” today, it’s likely 2-2, but I think the Braves take game 5 with Fried, then have two chances at home.

Kind of ticked I had to hit the road last night right when this game got into the late innings.

Another former Ranger great, the immortal Drew Smyly, is dealing.

Second time today the surly jinx got a team their first baserunner but he's out of it easily.
