May 23, 20223 yr Kleber and Bullock being 0fer wasn’t expected. They are WIDE OPEN but straight up choking

May 23, 20223 yr that call is hilarious. Looney fouled twice but they were waiting to see if the Mavs got the rebound anyway.
May 23, 20223 yr 20 minutes ago, LurkingHorn said: Luka has been pathetic boxing out. This has turned into an ass kicking because we can’t shoot and can’t rebound. Luka can't be the PG, SG, SF, PF, and Center dude. He's the only one creating offense and getting wide open 3s for all the brick layers. None of this is on him. He's got Brunson and Dinwhittle are the only guys. The other guys aren't even role players they are just strait garbage. Bullock has gone 0-9 in 32 mins with a whopping 3 rebounds. Klebar has 2 rebounds in 22m to go with his goose egg. This team is mostly trash, carried by Luka and some 3pt specialists got hot for a few games and kept the dream alive.
May 23, 20223 yr if you do what Klay did to Luka, to Curry, you will get called for a foul. forearm straight to the chest on the drive.
May 23, 20223 yr it would be good to get hot from 3 but if Curry is fouled on every drive it's not gonna matter.

May 23, 20223 yr All about pride at this point. Nothing to lose so let the threes rain and hope you get hot.
May 23, 20223 yr Giving up 109 isn’t indicative of a terrible night on defense. Only scoring 100 means they played good defense or you missed too many shots. It was the latter for this game. As well as the second half of last game. well the first two series were fun.
May 23, 20223 yr Luka, Brunson and Dinwiddie: 25/48, 86 pts Spares: 5/27, 14 pts That’s your game. Edited May 23, 20223 yr by Henry Hill

May 23, 20223 yr Not saying we would have won with him, but THJ would have been a tremendous help in these games. Yes, he’s also not good on defense, but damn if that guy wouldn’t turn games for us by scoring 10-12 points in a matter of minutes. We have run DFS and Bullock into the ground because we have nobody that can play even 10 minutes to rest them.
May 23, 20223 yr 57 minutes ago, dcar00 said: this is over as is the series. Series was honestly over before it started. Especially after the collapse of game 2 Dallas is still different roster additions away from beating Golden State in a series. They are the best team in the league and when they are healthy, they always get out of the West under Kerr.
May 23, 20223 yr Rooting for the Celtics to come out of the east. Rooting hard against golden state. I’ve always hated that team and it was annoying when they broke the NBA for a few years by bringing Durant in. The league was so boring to watch those 5 years or so.
May 23, 20223 yr Bullock was so bad offensively tonight I thought Kidd should have given Burke a few minutes in the 4th.

May 23, 20223 yr Not just steph but draymond and klay too. Klay only played in 32 games this year, less than 30 mpg too. Those injuries and the depth developed in the absences, not to mention insane talent, coaching, and experience.

As weird as it’s to say…those injuries might’ve been a blessing. 5 straight finals appearances=~ 100 extra games, more practices, travel etc. so basically another season+ while most teams experience a normal off season.Plus they were able to get younger depth. Not a good scenario for the league, but at least klay and Steph are approaching their mid 30s and aren’t 27 or something.
May 23, 20223 yr It sucks, but when you have nobody who can rebound with the likes of a Looney, you give up way too many second and third (putrid) offensive chances. We need a big man. Doesn't have to be a Gobert, but even a Looney type. Someone who can play interior defense and get rebounds. It baffles me why we have Boban on the roster. You have to bring more to the table than just a goofy personality that juxtaposes with your size, right? I get he's a fan and teammate favorite because he's such a nice affable guy, but dang, can you play the actual sport of basketball to any degree that you can help us out here when we are getting killed on the boards by a 50 differential? He doesn't play except for the last 30 seconds of mop up duty. If the ostensible reason for him on the roster is because he is tall, why not use him when we need rebounds? With the way Klay was shooting and going 0 for 38, we should have been up 20, but they kept getting his rebounds on every brick it felt like. Edited May 23, 20223 yr by Vegas64
May 23, 20223 yr Will make it 18 straight playoff series wins by GS against teams in the West so nothing to be embarrassed about. Steph is 34. Draymond and Klay 32. Luka is only 23 so I'm not too concerned yet. True superstars are the hardest thing to find and the Mavs have one. We need a couple more pieces.
May 23, 20223 yr Powell is like the perfect regular season player because he plays hard but yeah if you can't own the boards or shoot in the playoffs I'm not sure what your purpose is really.
May 23, 20223 yr damn, not the response anyone wanted. Bullock picked a hell of a time to go ice cold. I guess that is the fallacy of needing 'one of these guys' to step up every game vs expecting a proven badass to be themselves to win. When all of the step up candidates wilt, it's Luka and the spares. gotta think we will be hearing Mr. Cash cover 'Hurt' soon.

He's older now but boban is actually a skilled low post player. Those skills just don't mesh with the modern game in general or with the direction the Mavs are taking in specific. You get nothing from him in transition or pick and roll and he can't switch on defense. If his roster spot could be taken by a contributor, give him a front office or coaching staff role to keep him around the guys.

Then he needs to be transitioned out to the pasture or front line coaching and we need someone who can rebound and play defense and contribute. Also my son told me that Dwight Powell had a 40 point game this year, which I find to be unbelievable, because this guy is nothing but mediocre every single time I've watched him. I almost vomited in my mouth when he did one average thing averagely, and the announcers starting praising him last night. Edited May 23, 20223 yr by Vegas64

May 24, 20223 yr Absolutely cant get rid of Brunson and need a younger Al Horford type. Maxi and Powell have been horrible and are just backups.
May 24, 20223 yr Bertans's contract is the boat anchor they had to eat to move KP. No one wants to give him almost $50M over 4 years. He is untradeable.

May 24, 20223 yr You can pick up Lexus level tickets for like $250 today. Had friends that bought them after PHX Game 7 closer to $850. Oof. Might be worth it to pick up some "cheap" tickets just to see this core GSW team that, no matter your opinion on personalities, will be historically remembered as dynastic and Steph will go down as the greatest shooter ever.
