October 21, 20214 yr first game of the season is underway. only thing that matters this year is development of the young guys and losing enough games to get another top 3-5 pick. so (sort of) go rockets!

October 21, 20214 yr you guys have a keeper in edwards.Dudes been playing all star level since last years all star break at the age of 19. Now he’s 20 and added some defense to his game. Absolute stud. Canning saunders for finch helps. Finch is more suited to be an nba coach
October 21, 20214 yr Green is going to struggle and Porter's future is limited if he turns it over like he did tonight. At least Gordon had an efficient scoring game, if he can stay healthy, we can flip him at the trade deadline for a decent haul.
October 21, 20214 yr Alperen Sengun looked nice in limited minutes. I like that all of the rookies are starting off on the main roster. No point in sending them down to the G-League. Let them play, take their lumps, and grow.

October 21, 20214 yr Light the fuse baby. Nice hype video from Bun B, Slim Thug and Paul Wall repping the Rockets and H-town. Something you’d never see from the lame ass Texans who have no soul.
October 21, 20214 yr Slim Thug and Paul Wall actually did do a hype song for the Texans a long time ago. But that was before the Texans were born again.

I remember it. Better song too but I don’t think it was officially backed by the team. Never saw it on their social media or played it in NRG. 2011-2012 Texans by far and away the best Texans teams - likable players like Arian, JJ, Cushing, Owen Daniels, etc. Now they are an absolute abomination

October 23, 20214 yr Whether it’s by design or not, they’re doing a great job of showcasing Wood and Gordon to potential suitors in these first two games.
October 23, 20214 yr Only been two games but green hasn’t looked good. Of course I’m just seeing stat lines so anyone that’s actually stomached these games able to say what the issues is? Most rookie of the year candidates look better than this.

Yeah, he's struggled a bit and with his background in the G league I was expecting a little smoother transition. But as you mentioned, it's only been 2 games. He'll settle in. Tough stretch coming up with the next 8 games: Boston, @Dallas, Utah, @ Lakers, @ Lakers, @Phoenix, @Denver, @GSW, then back home for a matchup with Cade Cunningham and the Pistons
October 23, 20214 yr Author seriously with the green takes?? it's been two games, he's 19 and he's not lebron. he's not going to come in and immediately dominate. he had a couple of nice possessions as the lead ball handler last night where he found kpj for open 3's. since i am not worried at all about his eventual ability to efficiently score, i'm way more impressed with that this early. if both he and kpj can take turns as lead guard, as well as effectively play off the ball when the other guy is lead guard, they are going to be a very dynamic backcourt in a couple of years.
October 23, 20214 yr If Green can produce a season similar to Kobe's 19 year old season I would take it. Anyone seriously thinking Green would average 20 and run away with the ROY just doesn't pay much attention to how hard the NBA is for teenagers.

Usually for rookies the season gets tougher because it’s a grind. It doesn’t get easier. No one said the word “dominate” or he “should average 20ppg”. I was expecting the number 2 pick to average 14-16 a game. JFC ask a question and the number one foam finger posters can’t take it.
October 24, 20214 yr We still need to find a way to offload Wall. Goal should be to trade him for draft picks, and we'll free up a ton of cap space in the process Edited October 24, 20214 yr by perfectchaos007
October 24, 20214 yr Gerald Green retired and joined the organization as a player development coach. This make me happy, as Green loves the Rockets.

October 25, 20214 yr They looked pretty competent last night OR OKC is more committed to tanking than the Rockets. Oh well, it’s good to see some glimpses of hope.

October 29, 20214 yr and he is back to struggling. Going into tonight's game he had 0 FTs, he got 9 tonight.

November 2, 20214 yr We are going to be rebuilding for a long time with our current coaching staff. I see very little development.
November 2, 20214 yr 17 hours ago, HtownHorn said: We are going to be rebuilding for a long time with our current coaching staff. I see very little development. Silas was the wrong coaching hire whichever way you cut it. There is a reason no other NBA team took a chance on him despite almost 20 years as an assistant coach. It's even more egregious considering he was brought in to coach Harden and the team was in "win now" mode. As critical as I have been of Harden and his role in the demise of the Rockets, it's abundantly clear that he realized early on that Silas was a fraud. I see a situation where Silas won't be canned, but he won't be extended and will leave after his contract expires.
November 3, 20214 yr Author jalen has 18 on 7-9 shooting and the rockets lead the lakers 70-64 at the half. he might top his 30 point career high.
November 3, 20214 yr 11 TOs from your 2 primary ball handlers. Yikes. Silas is the NBA version of Shaka Smart, just no structure at all.
November 3, 20214 yr Damn that was an entertaining game. Tough loss. But gotta like the way they fought throughout that one.Best performance of the year by Green. Couple big shots at the end!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
