February 7, 20223 yr UH is interesting. Does a lot of things right. More than anything, a relentless team. No such thing as 50/50 balls. They're 75/25 UH. I could never love a Sampson-led team. I'll just say I like this one very much.
February 7, 20223 yr Die-Hards: Noah Batchelor Talks Memphis De-Commitment, New Schools Involved, More - Pittsburgh Sports Now Memphis has now lost all of their 2022 recruits. I'll be shocked if Penny isn't fired after the season.

I could never love a Sampson-led team. I'll just say I like this one very much. I've always had a tremendous amount of respect for Sampson's teams. I enjoy watching them play. My biggest problem is that Sampson is such a whiny bitch on the sideline, and at times his teams take that aspect from him. Also, the whole deliberately contacting players incessantly during dead periods to gain a recruiting advantage. That's a bit tough to take. But the effort has always impressed me. Didn't matter where he was coaching. Those Barnes/Sampson battles were practically wars on the court.

Overall takeaway from that game yesterday is that UH doesn't allow you to breathe very much. Relentless on the defensive end. Nice ball movement leaves you chasing an open person on the other end. And if they miss a shot you damn sure better bust your ass to defensive rebound else they'll out-hustle you and generate another possession.
February 7, 20223 yr Was glad to see him breakthrough the FF drought last season, been wanting to pick them as a darkhorse last few NCAATs but was paired up with other teams I liked.
February 7, 20223 yr I'm not sure they can keep up the intensity in the tourney as shorthanded as they have been against the teams they'll be playing.
February 8, 20223 yr Dook down 5 to Virginia at home. Don't expect it to last, but it'd be cool if it did.

February 9, 20223 yr Tonight is the "no, no, no, no.....no" Auburn offense. Hopefully they can get a bit closer before the half.
February 9, 20223 yr LSU demolishing aggy at reed. texags really had threads on their website just 1 month ago proclaiming they were better than Texas, should be ranked higher, and could probably go into the SEC tournament as the #1 or #2 seed.
February 9, 20223 yr Auburn is determined to take as many bad shots as possible in the final two minutes.

February 9, 20223 yr 19 turnovers for AU. 8/16 from FT. 24 fouls to 16. They do not deserve to win this game. Edited February 9, 20223 yr by PittsburghTiger
February 9, 20223 yr Amazing that AU still has a chance with 16 seconds to go. But, Toney, who fled the Titanic that is Pitt Hoops, can make it 4-points from the line. He doesn't. Arky ball.

February 9, 20223 yr Good one going on between Illinois and Purdue, Illini up 9 on the road. Zach Edey is a freak show good lord that dude is huge. About to sit for a while with 2 fouls, though.
February 9, 20223 yr Ouch. 7 straight conference losses for aggy. Including home losses to SC and Mizzou. Per some tweet I saw, they caught some home crowd boos tonight. Buzz’s seat getting warm?
February 9, 20223 yr This seems impossible. Even trying to purposefully not ever win a single game seems like something that couldn’t be pulled off.

February 9, 20223 yr Musselman is a hell of a coach. He has this team playing tough fucking basketball at the right time. It’s likely an Auburn fan or two murdered a spouse tonight. Fuck em.
