November 24, 20214 yr The WCC is loaded. Gonzaga, Saint Mary's, San Francisco, BYU and Santa Clara are all legit. That will be a fun conference to follow once conference play starts.

November 25, 20214 yr Florida climbs back from a 10 point deficit and beats the Buckeyes at the buzzer. Great game, both teams played their asses off.
November 25, 20214 yr A precursor of bad juju for buckeye athletics this weekend? tOSU loses to Gata. Weird, but true. But they OWN Harbaugh... and whoever preceded or replaces him.
November 25, 20214 yr aggy with 22 points at the half and shooting 32.1% from the field. Is that good?

November 25, 20214 yr There are a lot of top 25 teams that don't look very good. This is going to be a weird and wild year. #10 Alabama and Iona tied with 6 minutes to play.
November 25, 20214 yr Rick Pitino is scum but damn he can really coach. Which big school is gonna roll the dice with him next coaching cycle?
November 26, 20214 yr Iona upsets Alabama. Pitino already has Iona looking like a top 25 caliber team. They were pretty damn good at the end of last season and now 6-0 with an upset over #10 Alabama. Say what you will about the guy but he's easily one of the top 3 or 4 coaches in college basketball.

I don't think he ever sniffs a blue blood again, but I could see a next tier down taking a chance. However, he'll also be 70 next year and may be content to just ride it out at Iona until retirement. He has said he'll probably only go another 6 or 7 years. Iona is a decent program still looking for their first official win in March. Get a team full of Pitino seniors and they could be putting on some glass slippers. Old coach comes back from scandal to take a scrappy group of kids to the second (or third?) weekend. Would be a proper end to a storied and controversial career.

November 26, 20214 yr Sparty getting worked by the BigXII. 5-2 this year with a 13 point loss to KU and now a 17 point loss to Baylor.

November 26, 20214 yr Not quite Chaminade but still a shocker for KU to be beat by a 2-3 Dayton team. Kansas is a football school now.

Pitino is what he is but check out Bruce Pearl's rap sheet, it's pretty impressive, too. And LSU may be in the market for a hoops coach soon. They don't seem to adhere to any standards or moral compass. Edited November 27, 20214 yr by cafe society
November 28, 20214 yr Pretty sure Belmont/Dayton final wasn’t what the ESPN Events Invitational organizers envisioned, at least we get a Self/Pitino clash.
November 28, 20214 yr Well that was certainly a letdown, never in doubt. At least it wasn’t a 55pt beat down.
November 29, 20214 yr What on Earth. And this hahahah Academy of Art now has a transitive win over Oklahoma with only two teams sperating them. Academy of Art > UCD > Utah State > Oklahoma. Since AOA won this by 19, UCD beat USU by 3, and USU beat OU by 3, we can conclude Academy of Art would beat OU by 25 if given the chance.
November 30, 20214 yr 6 now with 3+ left. On one of the many Fox Sports West channels (687 on Direct). Edited November 30, 20214 yr by shadow_operative2.0 Or Root Sports, what the fuck ever.
