We now go live to the Circle C Halloween spook-tacular:

Speaking of lawn mowing, a lawn crew just pulled up in front of my neighbor's yard in what looks to be an absurdly expensive panel van with graphics, etc...  trees are blocking my view but "Something Conversation Lawns". I can't imagine what they're paying.  Supposed to be a dude or two with a beat-up pickup and a trailer, not an Abacus Plumbing van.

Yeah, is that a growing trend now in Austin (no pun intended)?  Everybody on my street used to use the same hodge-podge 2 or 3 crews...but now half the street is using some high-end, fancy-pants, logo-trucked crews.  Folks to our left have maybe 1/4 acre of which almost all is impervious cover between the driveway, pool, and new addition.  This new crew takes 2+ hours to "mow/edge/trim." and they come once a week.  And they're not just sitting around milking the clock.  It's 3 guys constantly doing shit the whole time, I just can't figure out what the the fuck they're actually doing.  Meanwhile, I can do my own yard that's over twice the size, in half the time, and only every other week.  I don't get it.  Plus I have enough time leftover to have several drinks in the garage while I fix the weeder.

Sounds like the city will mow it for you if you don’t shoot at them.

To be fair, maybe they'll mow it even if you do shoot at them (after they shoot you back), provided you don't also burn your house down.

Manicure vs. clipping your nails.

In their extra hour, they are pouring fertilizer on your lawn and turning you into the HOA.
