I think that's enough damage for one night. I don't mean to monopolize the thread, but I love rap music. If anyone has objections, I'll gladly stop posting.

Don't stop posting, great playlist you've got going there.

Need to add Binary Star. 1998, just makes the cut.

Growing up in the age of 90's rap was a beautiful thing. It makes me a little less jealous of my parents who had Motown and 60's soul as the dominant black music/art of their childhood.

P.S. If you have Sirius Radio and LL Cool J's Rock the Bells channel (formerly called Backspin) is not in your top 5 presets, you need to get your shit together.

Very Necessary was my first CD. I still know all the words to Shoop, and looking back, I'm kind of surprised my parents didn't take it away from me considering that I was in middle school and had no idea what the song was about at that point.

As an aside, Coolio performed at the Port Arthur Mardi Gras one year and I got his autograph. /coolstorybro

Am the only one who thinks it was way better when it was Backspin? I'm a big fan of the 90s golden era shit. Rock the Bells plays way too much late 70s/early 80s.

Not alone in this.

Does Ralph Tresvant qualify?
I channeled late HS T’Boo and downloaded some of his jams I used to play for the ladies in my car.
And you know this maaan!

Father of hip hop
