No, I had a daughter who passed away in 2007, and my fur buddy this past May.  He was literally the only one who helped me through the pain of losing Hannah. He was all I had left.

  • How hard is it to get a fucking Uber.  This hits home to me because my good family friends just lost their mother after a fucking drunk driver ran her over while she was walking in her own neighborhoo

I have no sympathy for Ruggs, enjoy prison...

Some places saying 2 people died? God damn this is fucking tragic. Lotta people out there drinking and driving.

Hire a fucking limo driver, hire a DD, use an Uber or Lyft.

Good lawd.

Amen.

So, what happens in Vegas doesn't really stay in Vegas?

they stress this to every player at the rookie symposium, and inevitably guys still decide to drive drunk and dangerously. so fucking stupid.

Dumb ass “decision”. From potential star to serving prison time. Just lost an aunt a few weeks ago to a Drunk Driver. RIP to the victim. Awful situation all around.

What kind of idiot gets a $17 million contract and buys a corvette?

Seriously though, fuck him.

Blame Leonard Little. He never paid the full price for killing that woman.

Makes me real thankful I got through my teens and twenties without doing something similar.  Of course, we didn't have Uber and Lyft back then.

A guy that makes shitty decisions, apparently.

Have either of you driven a relatively recent (since 2016ish) Corvette?

Not that that would be my choice of car.

Sounds like he “only” killed one person actually. Even with an expensive lawyer he’ll probably be doing at least 1-2 years in prison for this. He’ll also likely get sued big time. Football is definitely over for him.

I know that the new ones are pretty great. I was just making a joke.

Well, yes. It's still a Corvette. I'm not sure how they compare to say a Ferrari or Lamborghini but they seem comparable. Unlike whatever they were rolling out in the mid 2000s for mid life crisis insurance salesmen.

NFL provides it's players with a free service for transportation to avoid stuff like this. Doesn't even need Uber.

A lot of the guys in the league are weary of using that service for fear of contract retribution by the league.  I can understand that particular apprehension, but not of using another of the myriad of services.

Well looks like he is about to enter a whole new world of contract retribution.

Wanna know how i know you've never driven a modded 2008 z06??

You don't even have to do that. The NFL has a program already in place to get all players for this exact reason. Makes it even more infuriating.

If we're going to be talking Corvette's, can someone get Rocko back here?

Unless it's the brand new Z06 (it isnt) then I agree.

C8 Z06 is a gamechanger..Vette is no longer for 50+ yo insurance salesmen.

It’s the NFL. I wouldn’t count him out of the league just yet. Now if he had taunted the dead body after collision, then maybe.

But back on topic, if you're gonna spend the evening at a scrip clube, just fucking Uber/Lyft or cab ffs. Even a light night with a couple drinks early is enough to get you popped by the po po these days.

Donte Stallworth and Josh Brent both played in the NFL after their DUI vehicular manslaughter incidents. So it’s not the NFL’s first rodeo.

His SnapChat does him no favors either. Social media fail.

Why must people broadcast every damn thing they do in life? Anonymity is a good thing and has great benefits.

I've never driven drunk, but I have been in a situation where I've had a couple and worry about getting in a wreck and getting sued for "alcohol breath".

Easy fix.

Why not get a driver/Uber to drop you off.  Tell him/her you'll tip him/her $200 if they'll come back when you text them.  Super easy; super convenient.  Don't have to drunkenly figure out the Uber app or wait an hour to be picked up.

As in, hey Joe Schmuckatelli for the Eagles used the driving service 5X last week...let's test him?

Just rode in my HS buddy's new one when I was down in SA this weekend for another buddy's funeral. It wouldn't be my choice but that car is pretty cool (and fast AF).

Totally - so lucky nothing happened to my dumb ass back then after hitting dirty 6th

im pretty sure all nfl teams have a 'mr wolf', and all players are given that number for situations just like this.

'im too drunk to drive, call mr wolf'
