My Tecovas need to be re-soled. I've used Roma in the past, but wasn't too impressed the last time. Is that still the best option in town, or does anyone like somewhere better?

Some like a leather sole on a boot. I don't, leather is slick as snot on pavement or concrete until you get them scuffed. I always go back with vibram when I get a pair half-soled. The last thing I want is to grab a pair of leather soled boots while I'm bailing out a window making my escape.

I thought about this, but $150 seems a bit steep, no? Also, the turnaround time is kinda long.

Yeah, I’d agree it’s pricey unless they’re in really bad shape and in need of more work but you just don’t want a new pair.
Roma is where I’ve gone as well. Unless it’s my Lucchese’s, then I take them up to their store in Frisco.

My place in The Colony has changed ownership and suffered a serious drop off in quality. I would recommend Messina’s in Grapevine for anything you don’t want to send back to the manufacturer for repair

Place at the NW corner of Coit and Beltline has done good work for me.

Agreed. Take my boots and dress shoes there over 10 years.

Not Dallas but if anyone is looking for boot repair or any kind of leather work in Tyler, Lucio’s Boot Repair on Front Street is the number 1 place in town.
