He's not going to set any land speed records, but I really liked the arm and accuracy....and he appears to have enough size and wiggle to make things happen.  (that's what she said)

I’d say he looks “worthy” of pursuing.

Besides Ja'Tavion, who from the 2021 guys showing up in June might have a decent shot for playing time this season ??

Lee and Cain will both get a chance, as will Brooks. If we're not reading about Harris and Cooks rising up the depth chart now, I think it's unlikely any fall enrollee defenders have an impact this year.

We'll see. I think we'll have more starters on ST.

Spoiler

Havent heard much at all with UGA and him.

Talked to 2 good sources in last few minutes

Both said same thing even if he goes in Portal.

So I am not expecting UGA to be a factor here.

IDK about Brooks tbh. But that ultimately depends on how he adjust to competition shift.

We should have had JoJo Earle, but if we stumble into Worthy, our 2021 WR class would look pretty good despite all the handwringing.

No sure which of these two fucking threads to post this in, but an update from Suchomel

Spoiler

Well, was gonna hold this for the War Room but it looks like all hell broke loose while I was in the dentist chair.

2021 Rivals100 WR Xavier Worthy asked out of his letter of intent to Michigan today. The Fresno (CA) Central product originally committed to Michigan in July of last year, but there's been smoke surrounding this one dating back to January when it started looking like Worthy would not be able to enroll early at Michigan, as he had originally planned. Michigan had hoped to get Worthy on campus this summer as a June enrollee, but Worthy has now officially asked out of his LOI and re-opened his recruitment.

The No. 66-ranked player on the 2021 Rivals100, Worthy is a guy we mentioned back in January as a guy that would be on Texas' radar if he ever officially re-opened his recruitment. What we heard this morning was that Michigan was expected to let him out of his LOI, and there's a high level of confidence that Worthy will wind up committing to Texas. Worthy flirted with flipping his commitment to Alabama throughout his recruitment, so there's some familiarity on both sides in this one. He's a speed guy that would add some immediate juice to the Texas offense ... just the type of player that Steve Sarkisian likes to feature and has success with in the past.

Worthy had 54 receptions for 992 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2019 and has turned in a 10.55 100-meter time as a sophomore.

The recruit247 instagram page posted a screenshot of a message from Xavier saying he'd hit him up soon. So it sounds like he at least knows where he wants to go

Fucking Fawcett

Roach on Worthy and Gaoteote

Spoiler

—As we first reported yesterday, Texas might be in the market for an addition to the 2021 class in Xavier Worthy. The former Fresno (Calif.) Central East wide receiver signed with Michigan but flirted with asking for an LOI release after signing day. Throughout his recruitment, Worthy flirted with the idea of flipping to Alabama because of Steve Sarkisian’s offense.  I've been told that Worthy does indeed have interest in Texas, and frankly, I'd expect him to make a move quickly.  I'm not sure what other schools are involved at this time, but Texas is in a great spot.

—Texas is still active in the NCAA Transfer Portal and it sounds like things are heating up with a potential target in Palaie Gaoteote. The former five-star prospect who signed with USC was ranked No. 15 overall in the 2017 class by the 247Sports Composite. Gaoteote left USC after injuries stripped away his last two seasons. Despite a strong freshman start that included 38 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and 2 sacks, Gaoteote couldn’t stay on the field after that. By my math, Gaoteote could take a redshirt year for last season and still have a COVID year giving him 3 years of eligibility left. The connections of Jeff Choate and Pete Kwiatkowski help here as both know him well from their time recruiting the area. Michigan State will also be a factor as they recently signed his brother, but it sounds like the family would be supportive of Texas as the landing spot as well. We will continue to look into this one.

So can some of the 25 man limit dorks give us a view on where we’re at if Texas lands:

-Worthy

-Davis

-Gaotatorade

-Ovie-O-Ooooo

-Mystery Man who would start for anyone

Thanks in advance and don’t tell me we wouldn’t have room for the last guy because he isn’t a hypothetical as a factor.
