If they don’t want the other team to celebrate a home run then they should tell their pitchers to throw better pitches. Why do all these bitch asses think horns up is disrespectful, but horns down ar

Think Pierce is arguing that they called him out, so the runner shouldn't get a double (he probably didn't get to second by the time the call was made).

the first argument was about the catch.  the second argument was about giving him 2nd base.  bullshit they gave it to him.

These FS1 announcers suck

did we make some bullshit deal with TCU to show one of our games on Fox instead of LHN?

Not sure what the home plate ump is doing now. Small zone all of a sudden.

He’s been shit all night. Late as fuck to get in his slot so he misses anything low or moving to the hitter

That run a direct result of putting the runner on 2nd. Safe was the right call but he should have been on first.

What in the hell is the home plate ump seeing? This is right down the damn middle.

Terrible

I’ll need to see a rule to understand how the Todd catch wasn’t an out.

1) he caught it

2) the ball never touched the ground

3) his glove stayed on after the catch and well after he landed, only coming off as he rolled over

to me, it’s like the transfer rule. He completed the act of the catch, then his glove came off.

nice uncle charlie...get some runs and put these guys away.

didn't make a move common to the game...

He served up that home run on a platter, but otherwise was dealing

They are running DDA out of his seat!

Section 16:

“In establishing the validity of the catch, the fielder shall demonstrate complete control of the ball and that the release of the ball is voluntary and intentional. Only two circumstances may be interpreted as creating a voluntary and intentional release.
1)    When the momentum of the catch is complete; i.e., the fielder has reversed his direction and is running the ball back toward the infield or;
2)    When the fielder is reaching for the ball to make a throw.”

Excerpt From: National Collegiate Athletic Association. “2017-2018 Baseball Rules.” iBooks.

That 2b have an injury every throw is baby armed  bullshit even during warm ups.

1) The parents who brought their baby to the game probably got DDA moved.
2) This ump just seems to have a crappy strike zone in general.

Well ok then. No catch. But I dislike the rule. A middle infielder has the ball in his glove for .2 seconds turning 2 and drops the ball, it’s an out. But Todd had the ball for a whole second or more, and it’s not an out. There should be some more language in that rule.

Agree it's kind of a dooky rule as applied to that catch, but the wording of it seems to pretty clearly exclude Todd's catch and it appears to be intentional.

Where's the rule that justifies giving the batter 2nd base?

That's where they screwed up

Great outing for Kingham. Now the question is do they give him the 9th?

Our pen really struggles at times.

I think you let Kingham have the 9th until a runner gets on base.
