How this is not WVU -10 I have no idea

Because WVU is bad. Even Tech beat them…at WVU.

Maybe we score 1 point, is that possible?

Yep....and we have the experience

Well check that guess we would have to score....but yea still we've pulled off randomly scoring a point

I wanted Vegas to post us as a 30 point favorite again. Just to f with people.

lolwut?

seriously?

i haven't followed wvu, but our team is historically bad.

I figured we would be probably 3.5 point dog fully healthy.  So I assumed it would be 10 considering how many went down last night.

They're also 4-6, 2-5 in conference, 3-2 at home, and 1-4 on the road like us. Technically, we're 1-3 on the road because OU is neutral.

These free money lines are never available on my sports book. By the time this shows up on Bovada it'll be WVU -4.5. I'd bet the house if this was available.

when i want to bet against texas, i try not to do so and just bet the over or under. yesterday i was on the over. woohoo, i guess.

this one is hard to stay away from. how do you look at that team that lost to...kansas...at home, and think they are going on the road surrounded by a bunch of meth and moonshine filled rednecks and are going to win the ballgame? bijan is out, his backup has turf toe, we are directionless on defense. kansas put half a hundred up on us at home for fuck's sake. and they are worse than west virginia.

i don't get it.

Texas Man is always on top of the lines (and fine avatar btw). I wonder what metric, if any, Vegas oddsmakers use to measure the game effect of quitting?

well Doege is healthy.  if he gets hurt in practice and the backup has to play it goes to -8, if the backup gets hurt it goes to -18.

I think we win solely because sometimes a shitty team beats a better team. Like last night.

If I still bet I’d put my entire Vanguard account on WVU. Texas has given up; teams that have quit don’t win on the road in a place where they the university is despised.

Dare I say it?  Big XII officials used to be good.

(except for that Grant Teaff retirement game)

Scored by the offense[edit]

In American football, if a team attempting an extra point or two-point conversion (officially known in the rulebooks as a try) scores what would normally be a safety, that attempting team is awarded one point.[21][22][23] This is commonly known as a conversion safety or one-point safety.[23][24] The first known occurrence of the conversion safety was in an NCAA University Division game on October 2, 1971, scored by Syracuse in a game at Indiana. On a failed point-after-touchdown kick, an Indiana player illegally batted the ball in the end zone (a spot foul defensive penalty).[25][26][27] There are two other known occurrences of the conversion safety in Division I college football – a November 26, 2004, game in which Texas scored against Texas A&M, and the 2013 Fiesta Bowl in which Oregon scored against Kansas State.[28] In both games, the point-after-touchdown kick was blocked and recovered by the defense, which then fumbled or threw the ball back into its own end zone.[29] A conversion safety has occurred once in Division I-AA (scored by Nevada on September 21, 1991, against North Texas)[30] and once in Division II (scored by Morningside College on November 9, 1996, against Northern Colorado).[31] There are also at least four known NCAA Division III occurrences, the first being on October 20, 1990, scored by DePauw University against Anderson University;[32] the second on October 23, 1993, scored by Salisbury State against Wesley College;[33] the third on November 11, 2000, scored by Hamline University against St. Thomas-Minnesota,[34] and the most recent scored by Bluffton University against Franklin College (Indiana) on November 9, 2013.[35][36][37] One-point safeties have also occurred in a NAIA game and two junior college games.[38][39][40]

Yep. Think the Grant Teaff retirement game was probably the worst until the 2015? Oklahoma State game.

Yep. In many ways the 2015 Oklahoma state game was much worse because at least there was a logical reason for the grant teaff game in that they wanted him to go out a winner and the game was essentially meaningless at the end of the season. it really didn’t matter.

The defensive holding call on Poona during a running play when Poona got held and then the ref intentionally bumping into Charlie to call a personal foul putting OSU in field goal position to win the game were just the worst calls. The whole game was like that.
