I think he meant "cower," but ... I'm really not sure.

Also, "Suck it DeLoss," as if DeLoss had been involved any time over the past 9 years.

In aggy world, he is there in the shadows still pulling the strings.

Well now Aggy can finally put together that dream team of coaches itching to go to A&M, with co-head corches Urban Maya and Nick Saban, and Kirby Smart as their top assistant, like they deserve.

Surly would have to bid on that. Could you imagine the lulz that would bring displayed at the aggy tailgate every year?

I’m thinking any good trophy store could have it done.    Also thinking it would go good at our lease, where it’s 5 aggys and 1 horn

Interest rates are really high so aggy will get royally fucked if they have to take out a loan to cover.

20 years ago, the Ag AD took a huge interest free loan from the university, to be repaid at the AD’s discretion

This just came over the news wire.

Rick Barnes: "While I a honored to be considered, I decided to decline the offer and remain the Head Coach at the University of Tennessee."

They still mad about the LHN that Deloss originally tried to include them in on.

More involved in UT athletics than Jimbo was with aggy football.

If I’m Jimbo, I’m collecting checks in Cabo or Hawaii through the end of the year/holidays. Let the media “suck it” trying to get a comment.

gotta figure out how to be so bad at my job that they pay me $72M to go away

The A&M Jimbo story should be an inspiration to all Americans who never ascended to the high 9 figure club of wealth. It’s a case study that shows life is not fair, even the dumbest can stumble into outrageous wealth, and there is little correlation between talent/effort and money earned in America. It’s not your fault. It’s not your fault. Go live your life happy knowing this.

They’re going to hire art briles. Book it lol they want to win and win bad and don’t care what it takes at this point.

In the short term, Texas A&M must write Fisher two checks in the span of four months. The first, due within 60 days of contract termination, would be for $19.3 million. The second, due within 120 days of termination, would be the first of eight annual payments for the rest of the contract: $7.2 million.

In total, the Aggies owe Fisher $26.6 million by March 11, 2024. It’s certainly not chump change, but it’s much more manageable than if the entirety of the contract were due up front. The rest will be paid out in annual installments of $7.2 million from 2025 through 2031, meaning the Aggies would basically pay two head coaches for the next eight years.

My first thought was "why in the living fuck would any longhorn fan be in a lease with a bunch of aggy?". Then I noticed who posted that comment and it made complete sense.

I guess they can always come up with the money, but having to pay Fisher for the next eight years means they better get it right with the next guy. Because if they fire the next guy after 4 years, and will likely have to buy the next guy out, they’ll be paying three head coaches at once for a year or four.

You're right, I missed that extension. And Oregon will probably offer him another raise given how they've done this year. So yeah ATM would have to offer that and pay his $20mm buyout.

Well they are used to paying for buyouts

They’ll probably do some sovereign immunity stiff. That’s why Billy had to make sure and state that this would be “the university” making the decision.

Don’t sleep on this.
a week ago they had a good part of the buyout committed but we’re looking for the rest.

don’t negotiate Jimbo, burn that mother fucker to the ground if they try. Good luck little cuck

This thread would be 5000 more pages with all the nuttery that would go down there and they would some how use their aggy logic to justify it.

If they really commit, and move quickly, they can really align things and pay 12 head coaches simultaneously.

aggy AD says the 12th Man Foundation will pay the one time costs, but they have no funds and no plan for the ongoing payments. They say the new TV deal will hopefully fund it and "it's fluid."

Early list of potential names for Texas A&M, knowing money is no object: Lane Kiffin, Mike Elko, Mike Norvell, Dan Lanning, Jeff Traylor, Chris Klieman, Kliff Kingsbury and Kalen DeBoer.

List of coaches who will be getting raises, other than kk.

Any ACC head coach is fair game since they can't afford to keep up the arms race. aggy would be wise to take a swing at Dabo. He's about as aggy as you can find in a head coach.

Dabo is the guy I see them going for.  Sitting NC coach, fake religious, coming off a surprising bad year.

Aggy will go after briles

Only place tone deaf enough to do it.

I see their real list being Briles, KK and Dabo.  They have to have a candidate in mind and each of these would appeal to different fragile parts of the Aggy ego.

I'll miss Jimbo with his hillbilly room temperature IQ and his ability to grift.  He's a true American and Aggy hero.

aggy AD throws aggy under the bus, "It's was an institutional decision but I take full responsibility" for Jimbo raise and extension.

Taking full responsibility would be paying it and resigning.  But he won't so it's not full responsibility.  It's pretend responsibility.
