I am going to email Trev Alberts to let him know how great a job he is doing. I will also demand that he gives Elko a lifetime contract before the "Whorns" try to steal him once Sark is let go after going 0-fer in the mighty SEC this season.

I sent a similar, but more diplomatic email, like this to Delos’s Dodds once regarding the LHN. He actually called me.

I think we should organize a surly email campaign.  This could be epic.

Are you the one who got RT fired?

OK, I remember CDC catching grief for not shit-canning Pierce immediately after season end. His plan was, since we’re paying severance, we could let him go when it suits us, and not him (Pierce, like Earley, always had the option to quit). CDC didn’t want everybody asking him about the opening, while he was working to fill it. It turned out that the guy he was going to hire didn’t finish his season until the very last game.

(That seems to be CDC’s MO- wait to fire the guy until after the new hire is lined up).

Could Alberts be doing the same? Still working a search, but having to wait until a candidate’s season is over?

You’re giving Trev way too much credit.

No shit.

He’s way to focused on getting better facilities for the meat program to worry about the fucking baseball team.

Where is Trev Alberts in the punchable face bracket?

It would have more impact if we got the rest of the SEC teams to pitch in.

I guess you missed this tweet from A&M.

Statement from Director of Athletics Trev Alberts:"Earlier today I met with Coach Earley to discuss the state of our baseball program. I appreciate Mike's work in taking a holistic view of what changes need to be made so that we have a baseball program that meets our high…

I met Trev on the sidelines of a mediocre/small private Houston area school’s sideline on a football Friday night.  He was an ESPN pundit at the time, I guess in town for Saturdays game, but nonetheless, I recognized him.  He was a pompous ass back then.

i just brought up that I enjoyed watching his Nebby teams that excelled during his timeframe there and how they were so successful.

Hilarious story about Trev's role in the Mel Kiper/Bill Tobin feud "it's a typical Colts move" 😆

Isn't A&M's slogan sort of acceptance of mediocrity, with a dash of eternal baseless hope  an incredibly unfounded and delusional sense of self worth and prestige, which always ends in jarring mediocrity, followed by self loathing and then optimism as they wait for next year.

Fixed it.

Did you actually say "Nebby"?

You probably like natty and tuddy, too.

The 3 names that were seriously mentioned behind the scenes as possible replacements for Earley were Vaughn (Alabama), Wasikowski (Oregon), and Fitzgerald (Kansas)All three went 0-2 in their regional this weekend. Thought this was worth mentioning.

All 3 sound like perfect fits for aggy. It's a shame they don't have the money to buy one out of his contract.

At this point, Trev is just excited to have a coach who's not running away from him.

To be fair, Elko is incapable of running.

Don't disrespect Fred Flintstone like that. He's an officer in the Loyal Order of Water Buffalos, after all.

When it takes a second glance to overcome the WTF is Neb... ooh, I see... it's actually, and I am reluctant to admit this.... worse.

To be fair, it has to be depressing when Elko may be your most competent coach. His high point ia "annihilating" buffets, but he's damn good at that.

When you combine an experienced group with Le'Veon Moss and the Aggie backfield stable, A&M could make a case for SEC's most potent ground game in 2025, which also takes a great deal of pressure off of the QB. https://t.co/gN0zRsnO46
