Remember how we all wanted to roast PK and Sark after the Arky game their first season at UT?

I just think it's great that the A&M head coach would have to be a "Co-" if he was on our staff. PK is objectively a better coordinator and was smart enough to figure Mike Leach out. Elko's ambition and appetite are just larger.

I let my aggy wife see this yesterday.  You could see her lips draw up tight and ridges forming on her forehead.  Then, she surprised me by saying didn't TEXAS win the series against LSU and sweep Aggy?  I just nodded a "yep".  After which, she said I'm starting to understand why everyone calls us weird or a cult.  I didn't laugh too hard at the time, but I did later.

The Texas A&M offense score zero points against the Longhorns. How could this happen?

Texas A&M football fans have the chance for a great season ahead of them, but their rivals down the street have been spouting off about 2025 ever since 2024 ended. Despite the fact that the Longhorns looked noncompetitive in their biggest games and are losing a ton at some very important positions, they are apparently under the impression that they are now national title contenders.

This notion has much to do with the fact that they are going to be starting Arch Manning at quarterback instead of Quinn Ewers. Ewers ended his career panned by Texas fans as one of the main reasons they were losing games, so Manning's advent is something that they are counting on as a huge step forward.

This is despite the fact that both players were ranked exactly the same coming out of high school and Manning was on campus all of last year, yet never made it onto the field for any significant amount of time. He was used in packages and played some in relief for Ewers, but did not look any better at all.

This fact may escape Texas fans, but it does not do so for the general public. Steve Spurrier, who has been known to fire off some inconvenient truths from time to time, sounded off on this unwarranted hype.

Steve Spurrier embarrasses Texas fans' flawed Arch Manning logic
Spurrier didn't hold back when discussing Texas's quarterback situation this year:

“They’ve got Arch Manning already winning the Heisman, too. My question is, if he was this good how come they let Quinn Ewers play all the time last year?Steve Spurrier interjects about Arch Manning in a way only the Head Ball Coach canSTORY (FREE): https://t.co/MzLJOl73FV

This should worry Longhorn fans way more than it apparently does. The lack of returning receiver yardage, DB experience, DL snaps, and seniority along the OL all spells trouble, especially when you're facing off with Ohio State in the first game.

But apparently, because a guy with a famous last name who played at a 2A high school, who couldn't outplay a seventh-rounder last year, will be starting at QB, they'll be fine.

We'll just have to see how that logic works out for them this year. I have a feeling it won't go the way they want it to.

Non-competitive in big games?  Shit Bird Pat, we were in the RZ for both final “playoff” games that we played in, during the waning minutes of both.  The last resulted in losing to the eventual National Champion.

What a fucktard!

Someone will have to remind me if aggy has made or gotten close to making the playoffs in a year that didn’t have a global pandemic, fewer games and no/reduced crowds

So not being ready for Georgia for one fucking game means we were “non competitive” in all hit games?

We were not in OT against Georgia in the SEC title game in Their back yard?

Were we not a broken screen play TD from being up double digits at halftime vs OSU and a chance to tie late in the 4th?

Oh and I guess he’s admitting the game against that Aggie “buzz saw” last November wasn’t a “big game”.

Ole Ball Coach needs to spend more time worrying about his old two mediocre SEC teams.  One has a HC on hot seat hotter than a leather seat in a Texas August and you’re wearing shorts.

I could have sworn Arch took every snap for 2 straight games last year.

Yeah, but you see, you can't take anything away from a guy who started 2 games, played in 10, completed 68% of his passes for a 9/2 TD/INT ratio and had 108 yards and 4 TDs.

It means nothing!

Plus, you know... this:

It’s been a year since this bum left, and it’s a good thing he did. Coaches that lose 3 times to their own school’s satellite campus (AT HOME) aren’t ideal https://t.co/8shUSRCtU7

lol - getting swept by the team who loses three to their own satellite school is better?
