"The Official Record: Texas A&M’s 3 National Championships
Understand that this isnt a debate. This is not an opinion. These titles are documented in the NCAA Record Books. Your best argument of why they’re fake isnt going to take them out of existence or the records.
For those who have no intention of reading this entire deep dive and simply want to verify the facts for themselves, here is how you access the official data. This is not a matter of opinion, a "claim," or a debate; it is a matter of documented history by the governing body of the sport.

How to verify the NCAA Record:
1. Go to NCAA.org and search for the "NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) Records" book (the official annual PDF).
2. Navigate to the section titled "National Champion Major Selectors."
3. You will find Texas A&M officially recorded as a National Champion in 1919 and 1939 in the primary selector tables.
4. Continue to the next section (typically the next page) to find the 1927 title awarded by the Sagarin Ratings.
If you disagree with these titles, your argument is not with Texas A&M; it is with the official historical record-keeping of the NCAA.
Understanding the Historical Fact of Texas A&M’s National Championships
In the world of college football, the title of "National Champion" is often debated as if it were a matter of opinion. However, there is a definitive source of truth for the sport: the NCAA FBS Records Book. This official governing document does not "crown" a single winner, but it does certify Major Selectors—the mathematical, research, and polling systems deemed legitimate for recording the history of the game.
According to the official NCAA record, Texas A&M is a three-time National Champion. To understand these titles is to understand the evolution of the sport itself.
The "AP Poll" Myth
A common misconception is that a championship only "counts" if it was awarded by the Associated Press. This logic is historically flawed. The AP Poll did not exist until 1936. If one were to disregard titles prior to the AP era, they would effectively be deleting the first 67 years of college football history—including the foundational championships of almost every major "blue-blood" program in America.
The NCAA addresses this by recognizing "Major Selectors" for the pre-poll and split-poll eras. Texas A&M’s titles are not "claims"; they are entries in the official record book based on these certified selectors.

1. 1919: The "Invincible" Season
* Record: 10–0–0
* Defense: 0 Points Allowed (Outscored opponents 275–0)
* NCAA Major Selectors: Billingsley Report, National Championship Foundation
The 1919 Aggies produced what is arguably the most dominant defensive season in history, finishing the entire year without allowing a single point. The NCAA recognizes the Billingsley Report and the National Championship Foundation as the official selectors for this year.

2. 1927: The Scientific Standard
* Record: 8–0–1
* NCAA Major Selector: Sagarin Ratings
The 1927 title is documented in the Mathematical/Computer Selectors section of the NCAA record book. This recognition comes from Jeff Sagarin—a name modern fans know from his decades of work with the BCS and major sports networks. When the 1927 season is analyzed through these certified scientific models, Texas A&M is the team that comes out on top.

3. 1939: The Consensus #1
* Record: 11–0–0
* Post-Season: Sugar Bowl Champions
* NCAA Major Selector: The Associated Press (AP Poll)
The 1939 championship is undisputed. In the fourth year of the AP Poll’s existence, the Aggies finished the season as the consensus #1 team in the country. This was a "Poll Era" title earned on the field and verified by the writers' ballots, capped off by a victory over #5 Tulane in the Sugar Bowl.
Fact vs. Folklore
Much has been made of the fact that Texas A&M updated its stadium branding in 2012 to display these championships. Critics often mistake this "branding update" for a "creation of history."
The truth is found on page 112 (and throughout the National Champions section) of the official NCAA FBS Records Book. The university did not invent these titles in 2012; they simply chose to formally recognize the history that the NCAA had already archived for nearly a century.
The Final Word
Texas A&M’s three stars represent three distinct moments where the program reached the pinnacle of college football. Whether measured by the "Zero-Point Defense" of 1919, the mathematical models of 1927, or the consensus AP Poll of 1939, the record remains the same.
* A National Championship is not a claim; it is a recorded fact. And the record is clear: Texas A&M is a three-time National Champion.
Now Watch how fast this goes from “they’re fake” to “look how old they are”. 😏

And apparently he's delusional as all get out.

And after all of that delusional shit, UT beat aggy head to head, so does that mean UT should be playing in the title game in place of aggy? Hmmmmmmm

Should the NCAA have the Canes and Aggies redo their game in case it was a big fluke? No disrespect to the Canes, but I'm a firm believer that Miami winning is a huge fluke and robs the aggies of truly accomplishing what their capable of. I've spent the last few days in pure disbelief and it just doesn't make sense to me. I've spent the entire regular season watching the aggies play great football, it's just not fair. If the aggies lose again I will face the fact that the Canes deserved the win, but I am just 100% sure it was a fluke and does a big disservice to the aggies and college football.

Essay Potna is a real person, he's a rapper.

But with some of these posts, it does sound like he could be a dedicated troll to mock aggy with ragebait, click-engagement posts because some of this stuff can't really be believed but then again, it's aggy. If you go to his page, it's nothing but aggy posts, mainly to trash Texas.

Unjustified claims that A&M was a 'fraud' appear fraudulent

Following Texas A&M's 10-3 loss to Miami in the first round of the CFP, many critics tried to label the Aggies as "frauds" despite an 11-2 record. Of course, that was outrageous then, and as the Hurricanes have continued to win, those claims look even more ridiculous today.

The best thing about Aggy is that you don’t actually have to create any content. You simply can’t top theirs:

And that is why they are the gift that keeps on giving. Always next year. Even when the shirt says this year.

I must admit watching eATMe for decades , with all their tradition, rationalizations, and outcomes, …they are most dedicated and appropriate runner ups in important and unimportant football games. Perfect and skilled for the runner up position….nobody does it better!.

First of all , apologies to those that hate ousux more, but i hate aggy 10,000,000 times more. I've had bad interactions with ousux, but way more ŵith aggy. The reason for this is that for several years I had construction jobs at ATM, sometimes several a year. There was not ONE.SINGLE.TIME that I didn't wind up in a fight. Wasn't wearing UT gear, wasn't talking shit, just idiots trying to be badasses. Seriously, if I had a small scale tactical nuke I'd make the world a better place.
