Someone who lives there needs to go take a picture of the quote... maybe over the entire article and the specific quote then go post it on a mix of boards so that the quote is out there and can no longer be disputed.  Just sayin'...

I had always heard aggy was set up as the department for wayward boys to go to learn how to fix trailers, plant crops, and wear costumes...is that wrong?

Quote

Sec. 10. ESTABLISHMENT OF UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS; AGRICULTURAL AND MECHANICAL DEPARTMENT. The legislature shall as soon as practicable establish, organize and provide for the maintenance, support and direction of a University of the first class, to be located by a vote of the people of this State, and styled, "The University of Texas," for the promotion of literature, and the arts and sciences, including an Agricultural, and Mechanical department.

Wish I would have filmed my aggy neighbor's attempt to back his boat into his driveway this weekend. I had to wait 10 minutes while our resident genius tried to maneuver a relatively average size pontoon fishing boat into a 3 car wide driveway. In addition, his truck (an F-150) clearly did not have the requisite level of torque as we kept hearing the back wheels spin while trying to simply move the boat up the 6 inch grade difference between the street elevation and driveway. After about 10 minutes, the guy finally moved it enough to let me pass. My 15 year old daughter was with me (no pics) and was throwing some serious shade at the dude. My only response was sometimes the aggy jokes write themselves.

When we came back from dinner, the truck and boat were parked on the side of the street. Somehow, he got it in the driveway over the weekend, but he must have done it at 3 in the morning to avoid further embarrassment.

Subtle.

I don't quite know how to say it, but an aggy driving a maroon Lincoln around Beaumont has to be someone that is kind of a big deal

Wish I had a picture of the $100k maroon Jag in Dallas that someone ruined with a KYL-FLD vanity plate.

The owner must not know that MM does commercials for Lincoln.

It's really gotta piss them off.  No matter how far they try to run there is one thing in the state of Texas that will never change and the official plates spell it out clearly.

Texas over A&M.  Food chain....

Can't run from that shit bitch.

I once had an ag explain to me that they call us t.u. because "Why should YOU get to be called 'Texas'?  You're not the only school in this state."

Does anyone think Michigan State fans are deeply upset that the Wolverines are called "Michigan?"  Are Seminole fans upset that UF is referred to as "Florida?"

From the outside, etc.

poor aggy - eternally doomed to try to imitate us. So fitting that we scrubbed them from the postseason while they wore those unis.

The Florida Seminoles and Texas Red Raiders are both supposed to be pretty good again this year.  I also read where the Oklahoma Cowboys and Oregon Beavers are also supposed to be in the mix.

Is Arcee wearing mom pants?  The old ball coach reminds me of a cross between Spicoli and Screech.

Just got back from my school district's spelling bee.  40 students dressed professionally and to impress; one aggy dressed his or her kid in a 12th man football  jersey.

The Florida Seminoles are good every year seeing as how they own Hard Rock and a bunch of other casinos. The Florida State Seminoles are gonna suck since that tard Jimbo left the cupboard bare.
