So this f-ing ghetto looking dump of a bar with ZERO Yelp reviews is some kind of aggy Valhalla?? Looks like old East Austin from the 1980s where you would go to score blow and hookers (with at least a 50% chance they did not have an Adam’s Apple). I figured they would at least bomb it with fake reviews saying how awesome it was. Wow, how depressing.

Kiffin’s ability to troll opponents is why he’s one of the best CFB villains right now - and especially bc he loves to needle Jimbo every year. And I’ve said for a while, the way he embraces his role, he would fully weaponize Texas’ reputation as the “villain” of CFB to the rest of the country and negate the “every team’s Super Bowl” by turning that around on opponents.

If, god forbid Sark didn’t work out here, my first call would be to Lane

I am glad there are still coaches who are not robots.  But I would not want Kiffin here,

One of the reasons I was sad that Mensa turned out to be a fraud is because his douche-tasticness would have have annoyed everyone that hates us like no other coach we've had if he actually won.

We've had to put up with losing to those types at OU for decades now.

I don’t know if it was intentional or not, but in the full presser he kept using the term collected in reference to the amassing of talent on the Aggie roster. As in they have collected a bunch of talent. Thought that was interesting as it refers to both a potential NIL collective and classes being bought, but also has a clearly different meaning than recruited or identified or developed.

Kiffin is the closest thing to Steve Spurrier that exists today. I'm glad he exists, and that he's leading a different program than the one I root for.

i love the hatred he has for A&M because in so many ways he would be incredible there.

dude talks a lot of shit, backs it up pretty well, is a hell of a football mind, can recruit, wins some big games (and loses some too), ok with the dirtiness of recruiting (Tenn, USC, Ole Miss, Alabama), is incredibly entertaining and love to be the underdog (and talking shit from that stance)

Spurrier has some fantastic quotes but idk if there are any better than this one:

Quote

On fire at Auburn football dorm that destroyed 20 books — “But the real tragedy was that 15 hadn't been colored yet.

Kiffy is doing his best to take up where Mike Leach left off.  Leach was the OG and no man will ever replace him, but I’m glad Kiffy is trying.

Jesus christ. Jimbo could lose out and still aint getting fired after this season

Next season, sure. But THEY DONT HAVE 76 MILLION.

the highest buyout actually paid in CFB history was Malzahn at Auburn for 21 million, right?

This is almost 4x that much

Yeah, weird that Vegas odds would have so much confidence in aggy forking up the cash for Jimbo's buyout.

This.  Weigman coming back, younger players older, etc.  Hope springs eternal and their offseason will be glorious to watch when the results are the same.

All that and $65MM buyout.

The total buyout with staff included with be closer to 80-90M.  THEN you have the incoming coach and staff to account for.  If they take a swing at another "known" coach that will demand a larger contract it will be glorious.  If they actually want to try and make waves, they'll find an up and comer on the cheap and take their chances that way.  Obvious, I know - but the search will be paramount on finding someone who "gets" their fuckery and can also win games.  The shine is off Elko (not that he'd come back), so I have no clue who'd they go after.

If Weigman comes back, his family is dumber than I thought.  That kid needs to find a better OL before he gets permanently disabled

All levity and aggy joaks aside, I think it would be very, very bad for them to hire Urban. And I don't mean bad for them - at least not until the next heart attack or brain arachnoids.

Stoopid sip. aggy paying ~100mm to get rid of their corch, then committing another ~150 for the next one just shows that aggy is richer and superior in all ways to tu.
Advantage aggy.

I'm not sure Urban's manipulative bully act would fly in this era of cfb. Plus, he ran from the SEC as soon as he saw what Saban had going. Why would he go back to coach an inferior program to the one he left AND deal with the additional headache of Texas and the dirt burglars?
