Have a friend whose son plays for A&M. Said players are not very receptive to Elko and his vision/pitch. Came in talking about “changing the game” and most starters laughed. This speaks more about culture than Elko. This is gonna get WORSE. Heard 15-20 players headed to portal 😬

Watch out SEC, the Elko bus is on the move!

In 2018, the University of Texas extended an invitation to play a home-and-home with rival Texas A&M during the 2022-23 football seasons. After the Aggies declined, Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte scheduled Alabama for those two years instead while Texas A&M played…

I should find out where McConaughey gets his white shirts.

Tragic. In retrospect, bring your mixtape to school day was not a success.

Didn't they say the same thing when Coach Swag got the boot and they brought in Jimbo?

#66660

Letting the mercenaries and leech coaches walk isn't the issue. Bad attitude kids/garbage coaches need to be gone and that's always a good thing. The issue is the new HC's skill at bringing in quality replacements and whether or not that happens quickly enough to impact the results on the field.

Can THE ELK do that? Not an A+ so far, that's for sure.

Interesting... just saw "Optimus Klein" being used on multiple YouTube aggy podcasts.  Looch thought it was hysterical and then he drifted into a conversation about Megan Fox.  😋

I love that they have all taken to believing that the aggies have some magic $734M slush fund to pay for football shit because one person said it once. Meanwhile their AD is out talking about how they have to cut expenses on travel and assistant coaching staff while speaking on national radio shows in the middle of their coaching search for a bargain basement coach.

I wonder if that "slush fund" is the PUF. Because that would be about right considering it is prohibited to be used on athletics.

I just can’t get over the fact that they are paying ~125 million to get rid of an antiquated coach too stubborn to change, only to hire a protege from his coaching tree. If something is failing, conventional wisdom is to try something new.  Nope, they doubled down.  The next few years are going to be glorious. Exactly what the new emoji was created for.

“A Texas A&M booster was rushed to the hospital for emergency eye surgery after  a wardrobe malfunction from new HC Mike Elko caused his jacket button to fly off into the crowd with the force of 1000 space shuttles. The incident happened during the welcome dance to saw UT’s horns off but instead ended with a booster getting his eye sliced apart.”

With all this positive turnover and the ability to build for your own system through the portal, Aggy should expect to be world beaters by years 2. Elko's seat will be mighty hot in 2025.

Just another opportunity for positive turnover, I guess.

Oh, and during reconstruction, a contractor drove a Bobcat off the upper deck of the stadium. Not sure where his memorial is. Whoop!

Don't know why this struck my curiosity but evidently Lindwood Construction crew were cutting off a portion of a support column off the upper deck (!?) with a concrete saw and had Angel Garcia operating a skid steer with forks to support the portion they were cutting, but it was too heavy and when the cut was completed it "catapaulted" the Bobcat over the edge.

RIP Angel

Hopefully better explanation of incident:

Quote

In a news release, OSHA said that Angel Garcia, 25, a Lindamood employee, fell on Dec. 4, 2013 from the fourth level while operating a "skid-steer loader," or machine with lift arms.

The loader was supporting a 3,340-pound concrete stub while a Texas Cutting & Coring employee used a circular saw to cut the stub from its support column, OSHA said.

The 1 ½-ton stub was too heavy for the loader, which tipped over a ramp wall, falling more than 70 feet to the ground. Garcia was ejected when the machine hit a horizontal beam and died later at a Bryan hospital.

OK, that's hysterical.  One of the main things one should consider when designing for sound and vibration control is the wavelength(s) involved.  At low frequencies, wavelengths in air are very long.  For a low "E" on a bass guitar, that wavelength is ~ 8 meters (26 feet).  That sound ain't gonna "fit" in a 3 inch PVC pipe.  It's nonsensical.

Way to go, Aggie "engineers".  For fuck's sake.

And how do they "capture" that wavelength and sound for the entire stadium?  What great sound sucking device is being used to capture that and then "drain" it into the metal structural supports which are being compromised by cutting holes in them and inserting the PVC pipe.

Do you know how hard it is to find a tailor for elk? It's not like an elk can walk into Men's Warehouse and get something off the rack...they're built like an overstuffed couch with toothpick legs.

Which stage of grief is "spend all day coming up with new rules for NIL that seek to punish players who portal from A&M?"

That is where they seem to be right now.

Lulz, the ags whose 2022 class's dirty bags of cash absolutely broke the market ceiling and screwed everyone else and themselves, now find the out-stretched hands of recruits and portal players, to be "gross."  They're largely responsible for creating this mess, but now when it's working against them, it's "gross."

Get bent.
