Disagree that the backlash was rando. The ads featured a trans woman and that's why things took off the way they did.

Still, putting a guy named Benoit in charge of US marketing?  Going to leap to dramatic and unfounded conclusions here without a lick of halfassed googling, but isn’t this like putting a billy Joe in charge of Asian markets?

Yeah, in the bro-country alt-right world, trans is far more icky than just plain ole' gay.  Aw hell, there was diddlin' going on during varsity foobaw rides, don't mean nuttin'.

Even a good number of Ls, Gs, and Bs want to get rid of the Ts.

Because if they think a woman is hot then find out she's trans, it makes them very uncomfortable with themselves.

What ads did you see? I only read they gave many “influencers “ from a wide range of channels/content, their own branded can of bud light. I assume they left it up to the influencers to create content. Or even more likely paid the influencers to create that content. Only followers of those influencers would have ever seen it.

Im fairly certain there wasn’t transgender content during a bud light created ad.

Okay, if the specificity is really necessary here, i amend it to influencer ads, which are ads, and a trans influencer was picked. That's all it takes y'all. A trans person just has to be visibly involved.

I am honestly not sure why the fuck the distinction is important here?

It bothers you if a product or service advertises to a different demographic than you? Most likely if/when that happens, you wouldn’t even notice it unless Charlie Kirk tells you about it.

I didn’t know that actress, or singer/model whatever she does. I wouldn’t have known she was trans unless they put the flag on the cam next to her or spelled it out for me.

Jason Aldean has a stupid looking face.

And I'll go after those until they pay me not to.

I don't think they paid him off, but he's has gotten to know some of the head level guys and sees the irony of a boycott hurt blue and middle class employees.

They are doing funny things like sending him pallets of bud lights to his house and other merch. Shane Gillis deservedly is on the take though.

Sounds like a payoff to me.

They definitely paid him off. Same with Trump.

It was a BUD hat, not some transbeerwannabe Bud LIGHT. Bud red, Bud Light blue. That's all you need to know.

Why is Kid Rock famous at this point?  He had one big album and it was like 25 years ago.

Man, I think that's what comes from relentless self-promotion without Trump's extreme narcissism.  Dude is extremely conflicted..

Throw in some constant need for affection that he probably didn’t get at a young age from his dad, causing him to seek out that attention elsewhere the rest of his life. Not surprising they mentioned he was getting more like his father as he gets older too.

Look, if Trick Trick says you're right, you're right.

Believe it or not, Trick Trick is like, the OG and one of those IYKYK type minor celebrities in the streets that has a ton of cache in Detroit. Eminem and those guys pay homage and defer to him. A good analog might be to think like, Big Meech in Atlanta. Or the leader of the Crips that Snoop defers to, etc.

This post makes me feel old AF

Your analogy is Big Meech. This is the first time in my life I have ever heard that name. And, I lived in atlanta for two years twenty years ago.

The stadium stands were jam packed, SRO.  Comments are pretty good, too.  The fans love him.

That’s my new go to for cartoonishly faux-alpha MAGAs:

”[x] is the type of guy that takes a picture with his server at Hooters.”

Is that wrong?  Should I not be doing that at  Hooters?

No, dude, she really does think you're sweet and not like her regular tables. You should go for it!

Same thing happens to me at strip clubs, rather embarrassing sometimes. I might have to stop with the $5 buck tips.

The pro move is to say it’s your birthday and then get a pic with the whole staff when they are forced to sing to you.

I have lots of problems with Kid Rock.

However, the one that he can never escape is what he did to Warren Zevon's music.
