I'm not much of a music guy, but one person that I have been intrigued by since I was in college is Sinatra. I dig some of his songs, but the reason for this post is this article I stumbled upon in Esquire yesterday. I found it absolutely fascinating. It is a very long read, but extremely well done in my opinion. You can read the intro but the TL;DR is this reporter was tasked with writing a sort of biographical article/interview of Sinatra. Sinatra had a cold and was surly so he wouldn't do the interview. So the reporter pieced this together based off of observing the man himself and interviewing those around him. I was not alive during that era but I can easily piece some of these settings together in my mind reading this piece. Take the time to read it if you are interested at all in Sinatra.
