Come at me Bro.

I’m only bringing sides and desserts as parents are doing the Turkey etc.

Lemon Icebox pie (homemade) and  pumpkin pie (bought)

Rice Krispy treats

Corn casserole

Mashed Potatoes

Yup my folks are doing the turkeys (fried and BBQ).  We'll also have my mom's homemade cornbread dressing, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, roasted root vegetables with herbs, homemade yeast rolls, homemade sweet potato pie, homemade pumpkin pie, homemade pecan pie, with homemade whipped cream.

Dinner at 12:30, I'll try to remember to take some pictures.

120. I’m a little ahead of schedule. Might have to kill the oven. Or just run it to 125.

Rack of pork with an apple/onion/mustard....chutney I guess?   Credit sam the cooking guy

Brown sugar glazed rainbow carrots

Charred Brussels with shallot and bacon topped with balsamic reduction.

Cauliflower puree with plenty of parm, cream cheese, garlic and black pepper

Pecan pie.

Pics later

Sitting in front of the fire in sun valley with a glass of red watching this abortion of a football game.

Happy Thanksgiving,  assholes.

I’d go to 125. You’ll barely get any carryover as low as your cooking it.

Coming to room temp. 20211125_125752.thumb.jpg.fe222d683b6da9ef2fa38e24236f9800.jpg

Yeah 125 already seems pretty low. But there's nothing worse than overcooking a prime rib.

The honey siracha Brussels sound really interesting and good.

What’s the scoop on the Brie bites?

kitchenaid.

Appetizers.   Roasted pecans, assorted cheeses and meats, peppers, apples, hummus
Smoked turkey
Pan dressing (white bread, cornbread, and biscuit base).  Nothing fancy, but delicious.
Mashed taters
Sweet taters
Green Beans.
Gravy
Homemade yeast rolls.
Some sort of pomegranate apple goat cheese salad which was really good.
Pumpkin, pecan, and fudge pies
A guest brought a ham
A friend always sends homemade cranberry sauce.

Looks amazing!  How long did it take to set up the lighting for those professional photographs?

Natural light coming through the kitchen window is nice until it is right in your eyes.

Puff pastry, brie, fig paste, rosemary.  Was good.  But not as good as the mini goat cheese tart with caramelized onions.

Despite oven issues at the place I'm renting this weekend.... best pork I've ever cook. I'm team dry brine, now. Wet brine can't touch it. This shit cut like a prime filet.

@Anastasis the Brie bites sound great, I’m not a big fan of goat cheese. The meal sounds great.
