8+ years of sobriety.

A stable career, even if it drives me crazy sometimes.

My mom and dad are aging, but still in good health.

I have two pretty awesome groups of friends -- one in Austin and another in Houston.

The Longhorns don't play football today.

What are yours?

Let's get some positivity up in this bitch.

Everything.  Each day is a blessing.

Y’all have a great Thanksgiving.

My kids and my dog. Been a rough year but agree about lets keep this place positive.

And thankful for all you Surly bastards.

My wife and kids.  And being pretty healthy.

Also, it wouldn’t suck if we don’t have another ice storm this year.

Congrats on sobriety, OP.  Keep up the good work.

38th wedding anniversary tomorrow, grateful she hasn't killed me or kicked me curbside…. Yet.

I like my job and it pays well enough.

I’m thankful for sports so I can pay as little attention as possible to my in-laws and their insane rants today.

Too much to list.  Luckiest bastard alive.  And thankful as I could be.

I actually am thankful for you assholes too. Not too many places I can go and be called out when I’m a prick.  Nobody lets shit slide around here.  And I’m thankful for that too.

Happy Thanksgiving, assholes!

Erroneously corrected too to to. And now back. I’m a weirdo

I'm thankful that for the 34th Thanksgiving my wife has put the knife in the turkey on the table, not the one at the table.  I am also thankful for having a wonderful, awesome family, and that my kids grew up to be much better people than me.

I am a seriously flawed person. A poor example of humanity, really.

And being in this board has shown me I there are still people out there worse than me.  (You know who you are.) Thank you.

I’m thankful that my dad didn’t die, and isn’t at a home, and moved into the house they finished building on our land.
I’m thankful that my kids are happy and healthy and well adjusted, and although they are completely nuts I see them growing into good human beings.
I’m thankful for my wife, going on 12 years making my life full and wonderful and full of love

I’m thankful for two jobs that pay for all our needs, most of our wants, and a few of our desires.
I’m thankful I get to live in a place full of Opportunity to make a life for myself and my family.
I’m thankful that I’ve been redeemed through nothing that I did on my own, but because of the love of my Heavenly Father.
I’m thankful for the Astros and all non football UT sports to give me a diversion from real life.
I’m thankful for this community that’s informing, entertaining and fun at times.

Not really setting a high bar there

i'm pretending football doesn't exist this year...but other than that, im grateful for just about everything 🤘

Too many blessings to list, but especially today...... GRANDKIDS!!!!!

I’m thankful for Chris Beard being the Longhorns’ basketball coach.

I don’t deserve much, but am thankful for what I’ve got.

And I appreciate all of you anonymous assholes. You make me laugh. Every day.

I'm thankful for my wife of 22 years, my 2 boys, my dogs, my business and even you assholes. This place helps me stay sane.

Happy Thanksgiving, all.

Thankful this day comes only once a year, until the next holiday. It was a rough one and it's not over yet.

Lot of tension over here. Thinking I should drink more and start slinging insults, just to get everything out in the open.

Definitely drink more.  Figure the rest out later.  Good luck and Godspeed.

Found out last night we are going to be grandparents.  Fuck yeah!!!

Grateful for my family- mom(83), 2 brothers, in-laws are great, our kids are doing great.

Relatively healthy, great job, wife still lets me in the house.

Life is good.

I am thankful for my family and friends. I am thankful for the Surly community who was around when life wasn't so fun in 2020.

It’s been a rough fucking year. And continues to be pretty stressful. But as life and time march forward, as they will do because they don’t give a fuck, so does family, and growth, and friendships.

I am thankful that my kids are growing into being truly good and interesting adults. I’m thankful that my wife and I truly love each other and enjoy each other’s company as we start the empty nest years. I’m thankful for having enough work to keep the money coming in. I’m thankful that I’m able to share moments with good people from time to time. And I’m really fucking sorry that so often, I get stuck in my own head and am not thankful enough.

I don’t deserve a goddamn thing I’ve got, and I feel guilty about it all the time. But that’s how grace and gratitude work; deserve’s got nothing to do with it.

I got a roof over my head, food in my belly and then there's you assholes. All in all, not a bad deal.

There's no rule against doing both.

Will try to report back Monday.  It will be tough to relay the actual disfunction in the written form as these things are always best experienced live.

I'm thankful that the Sooners are having such a bad day. Hook Em!

I am thankful I was loved by a wonderful stepmother who passed this evening. Fuck Cancer.

I am thankful for this group of misfits.

Was not sure where to post this. First thread I saw. This group was with me during my divorce, losing my mom and I appreciate being 3.50.
