the battle of the top two freshmen in the country, and potentially the top two draft picks next June- a 7'1", 170 lb bean pole vs Mr."I Am 12". could be the first big match up in a career long rivalry between these two.

Missed the Tuesday matchup, hoping this one is better…. 83-74 Duke.

Surprised that wasn’t an And1.

I bet Paolo wasn’t even carded at the Blackjack tables.

Zags are rattled -- good experience for them to get down to a good team

Slow DuKE down by getting to the foul line.  These two teams might be destined to end up in the Final Four...

Timme's struggles against size & athleticism will be a hurdle for him to get run in the NBA.

i want to see what Holmgren does in the second half after spending the majority of the 1H on the bench. they say he's the best prospect in years, and his size and skill are evident- but does he have that killer mentality that KD had as a freshman at Texas? you know that KD would come out of the locker room on a mission on this situation. now, Holmgren isn't the alpha male of his team like KD was, but i still want to see that fire, that desire to take over the game after having been forced to sit and watch the Paolo Banchero show for the entire first half.

i feel like Timme could either be an end-of-the-bench journeyman in the NBA, or he could go to a club like Barcelona and play the Gasol role for 15 years and be a legend.

He doesn't really remind me of KD at all. Not saying he won't be a good player but I just don't get that comp.

Timme will just have to develop a perimeter/3pt game like most other NBA bigs.

This Banchero dude seems like a sure fire bet if I’m an NBA gm. He has essentially the same skill set as Holmgren but with an additional 80lbs. I like Holmgren, but there is a real possibility he’s too frail to live up to his potential in the big leagues.

This Ja Morant commercial aging really poorly really quickly.

He looks as ashy as KD, I’ll give him that.

Zags have to feel good only being down 3 with Timme not being much of a factor.

i didn't see much of a foul there on Timme

Agree...

These teams can really play -- love their offensive movement and passing

I just hate to see a Duke player get called on a non-foul.

Clean block.

Refs are overreacting -- wish college basketball would go to 6 personal fouls like NBA to compensate for poor officials.

Especially in Coach K's final year when you know they're going to be battling the refs all season.

It's fucking absurd that they haven't yet. The best players in the NBA and in college play the same amount per game.

I guess when you have a team full of shooters you don't care much about defense, you just run the floor and let the guys hoop it up.

Unbelievable early season CBB for sure.  Amazing what great coaching does for a basketball team -- really glad Beard is at TEXAS now...

The length on both these two teams is trouble for a team like Texas

same ref who made the phantom call on Timme made the terrible call on the Williams block.

One more strike and Mr. Ref

DuKE is definitely tired -- turning the ball over a lot more.  Holmgren is a "Spider Freak"

Banchero going out has definitely turned the tide. of course as soon as i type that Timme goes ahead and makes a bonehead foul that gets him sent to the bench.
