When do defensive recruits stop decommiting from us to go to LSU?  Year three of Brian Kelly and the defense is still hot garbage.

Came here to ask the same. Their front seven is worth about as much as a wet paper sack.

I don't know, but LSU had upwards of 300 recruits at the Alabama game. Many five and four stars.

I wonder how Harlem Berry is feeling about his commitment.

IT and Gerry/Bobby love to point out recruits view games differently than fans, but my goodness that was embarrassing for LSU.

Watching Ole Miss destroy Georgia showed Kiffin has it right in FL recruiting. Pay the best out there and own the DL transfer portal. Price is high but return is off the charts.

Quick reminder they did also contrive to lose to LSU and Kentucky.

Wasn’t that a former Longhorn sacking Beck 500 times yesterday?

Princely U. was a Longhorn commit before flipping to Florida.

Not sure how true it is, but the Cover 3 podcast was saying the reason LSU didn’t do much in the transfer portal this year is because they’re going heavy on the 2025 HS class to put talent around Bryce Underwood.

Yup. If Portnoy/Michigan can flip him, the house of cards collapses.

Kiffin finally won a big game.  And if Scott Strickland is true to his word, then Lane will have to cool his heels another 12 months at The Grove.

Just keep in mind the portal can work and it can kill you. FSU has proven that

Top100 CB Graceson Littleton goes in-depth on official visit to Texas

Quote

AUSTIN, Texas — Four-star cornerback Graceson Littleton decommitted from Clemson earlier this month, and has since visited Michigan and Texas in an official capacity. The Longhorns had the Tampa (Fla.) Wiregrass Ranch standout on campus this weekend alongside his mother for the program's big win over Florida.

"It was good definitely being around the players, getting their perspective on the program, learning the culture, seeing it," Littleton told Horns247 on his way out of Austin. "Like my mom says, you can't fake culture, so just getting up here and seeing that, it was good. They had a great win, obviously. Hearing things they talked about in team meeting transfer over to the game, that was nice as well."

As noted above, Littleton recently decommitted from Clemson. He already has one experience visiting Austin this past spring.

"Coach T-Joseph," Littleton said of what prompted him to want to come back to the Forty Acres. "He came up to my school and offered, obviously. I wanted to check out the culture, the environment, see what the environment was honestly like. The stuff he said to me, he thinks it could be a place for me, a fit, defensive scheme-wise. I just wanted to come up, see it for myself, and learn more about the program."

As for any coming visits in the next few weeks, Littleton says "not as of right now" in terms of anything scheduled.

The Longhorns had a handful of commits in town for the game on Saturday. They spoke with the UT target.

"It was a couple of there commits there," Littleton said. "A lot of the guys they were just saying their perspective on why they committed. Obviously they want me to come, too. It was nice speaking to them and speaking with some of the players on the current roster as well."

As for where his recruitment stands, it's two teams of note for now.

"I'd say Texas vs. Michigan right now," he said. "A lot of schools have reached out — Bama, Georgia, Penn State, Auburn, all those types of schools have reached out. I definitely have to go home, recollect from the visit, talk to my family, then just go from there."

Littleton intends to sign in December and enroll early.

"Just talk to my family, narrow down the things," he said of what's next. "What I look for in the school, we have to figure out which school has that. It has to be a well-rounded program. Just go from there. If I need to take more visits, if not. Like I said, a lot of schools have been reaching out, so we're still figuring those things out.

"It kind of does revolve around football — the defensive scheme, the opportunity, the culture, the environment, the nutritionist, the strength and conditioning program, things like that. Also the environment. It would be nice to live in Texas with the warm weather coming from Florida."

Does Texas or Michigan hold the upper hand coming out of the weekend?

"I definitely have to go home and talk to my family, figure those things out," Littleton said.

The 6-foot, 180-pound DB ranks as the No. 9 cornerback and the No. 75 overall player in the country, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Crystal Ball pick in for Texas to land Top100 defensive back

Tom Loy (247 Sports)

$$ " "

Tom Loy:  "There is a ton of optimism coming from Texas sources and there is a strong feeling that they have put themselves in a very good spot. Barring some misdirection behind the scenes, things look good for Texas right now."

Jordan Scruggs: "Michigan was seen as the team to beat when the Tampa native decommitted from the Tigers, but it appears the Longhorns may have pulled ahead. And with no more visits scheduled before the Early Signing Period, Texas may have had the last word. I like UT to pull this one off, and am placing Crystal Ball in favor of the Longhorns at a confidence level of six."

Crystal Ball pick in for Texas to land Top100 defensive back

Tom Loy (247 Sports)

The 247Sports Crystal Ball is a tool recruiting analysts use to show exactly where a recruit might end up. On Sunday, a new prediction went in regarding a major target potentially landing with the Texas Longhorns.

Here is the latest from 247Sports.

Tampa (Fla.) Wiregrass Ranch Top100 cornerback Graceson Littleton is one of the top prospects in the class of 2025. The 6-0, 180-pounder is ranked No. 72 overall per 247Sports. He's the No. 10 cornerback overall and the No. 11 recruit in the state of Florida per 247Sports.

Littleton had been committed to Clemson since June 5. However, he recently opened up his recruitment and quickly locked in two officail visits. He was at Michigan last weekend, a trip that moved the needle for the Wolverines, and then visited Texas this weekend, a trip that clearly made a positive impact for the Longhorns.

Following this latest trip to Austin, Horns247 insider Hank South and I are tossing in Crystal Ball predictions for Littleton to eventually land at Texas.

This isn't a lock or a done deal, but we are hearing that the Longhorns have cemented themselves as the team to beat following the two official visits. Littleton raved about his time around the program this weekend. There is a ton of optimism coming from Texas sources and there is a strong feeling that they have put themselves in a very good spot. Barring some misdirection behind the scenes, things look good for Texas right now.

Here is what Hank South had to say regarding his prediction in favor of Texas.

"If you're looking at Texas' 2025 class and where there's still a need, the defensive line, linebacker, and cornerback positions are all still areas the staff is actively attacking. The latter spot could soon be getting a boost if Texas can close out on four-star cornerback and recent offer Graceson Littleton," said South. "The Clemson decommit earned an offer from the UT staff a couple weeks ago and quickly scheduled an official visit for the Florida game. Talking with sources in the hours since Littleton left Austin, there's optimism growing around UT's chances. Michigan was seen as the team to beat when the Tampa native decommitted from the Tigers, but it appears the Longhorns may have pulled ahead. And with no more visits scheduled before the Early Signing Period, Texas may have had the last word. I like UT to pull this one off, and am placing Crystal Ball in favor of the Longhorns at a confidence level of six."

We'll see if Texas can seal the deal in the very near future or if Michigan can swing things back in favor of the Wolverines. Signing Day is on December 4, so look for things to get finalized soon.

Texas 2025 Targets: Yes, no or maybe

The Texas Longhorns are closing in on a fourth straight top 5 recruiting class. There is the decent possibility Texas could finish as a high as No. 3, with No. 2 an outside shot.

Texas currently has 22 commitments in the class with the class expected to reach 26 or 27, and could push to 28 if there is an unexpected flip.

Which prospects Texas can back to campus November 23 for the Kentucky game could be very impactful for the close of this class. With that said, OnTexasFootball takes a look at what's left in the latest edition of Yes, maybe or no.

Kinda weird to say "as high as No. 3" when those 3 "Yes" guys alone put the composite at 308.47 on 247, which would've been good enough for 3rd the last few years.

Unless something has truly changed in the past couple of months, it’s either Terry or Hilson going public. My assumption is Terry, which will be awesome. They’re going to use him all over the place. WRINO, IMO.

Sure but that's recruiting all the time. The point is it wouldn't take much more to land the no. 3 class, especially if your coach traditionally finishes out recruiting classes strong....

To me it should be "as high as no. 2 with an outside shot at no. 1".
