Terry has good size and speed. I can understand the poor body language - that Alamo Heights team was pure ass. It really was just him and the RB. That QB threw a nice deep ball to him on his one TD catch, I would’ve thrown it up to him a lot more times but coach Rittiman has been good at doing less with more his whole career. It’s 5A D2, I guess I was expecting a 5 star to be a truly dominant force out there and Terry wasn’t that. I could be underestimating how deflating it is to be the best player on a shitty team.

December 3, 20241 yr I would consider cruising through the finish line with the current class in tact as a win. The longer this goes on the more time other teams have to try to scrape last minute retarded offers together. That being said, by Gerry’s wording it sounds like Texas decided to be the crazy one on Justus Terry. I hope it works.

I hope so anyway. I know the reasoning for maintaining our ceiling on players but as an observer it feels bad losing out on top end d lineman.

December 3, 20241 yr I’m starting to get worried about Elko’s health. I’m sure it’s been well over 9 months and still no baby.
December 3, 20241 yr If Elko would have been an OL in college, his body might make sense. But he played safety at Penn. He was an elite athlete (compared to the general population) and now he's a fat fuck. I'm only a few month younger than him, and if one of my college buddies went from college safety to 350lbs+ in the last two decades, I'd have a sit-down with him about his health. The only way his weight gain makes sense is if he's actively trying to turn into jabba the hut.

December 3, 20241 yr Eric Nahlin: Recruiting percentages for Texas' Early Signing Day finish Quote In just 24 short hours the board will be abuzz with confirmed signees for the 2025 Texas recruiting cycle. No matter how the finish shakes out this will be a cycle to be analyzed and discussed well after NSD given the shifting landscape beneath all our feet. One things’ for sure, you feel a lot better about the class now than you did during the summer. There’s a good chance you’ll feel even betterer come Wednesday afternoon, and perhaps then again on Friday. Let’s get to some percentages. [REDACTED No. 1]: We’re not going to release this player’s name yet. This is the same player I mentioned early Monday afternoon. My gut tells me this one is already done but he obviously hasn’t gone public yet. Percentages: 85% [REDACTED No. 2]: This is another player to keep quiet that I hinted about on Monday. I’m not quite as confident on his flip as the above player but I wrote commitment articles for both last night so I do have some confidence. Percentages: 60% [REDACTED No. 3]: I expect this elite player to remain committed to his school but I can’t entirely rule out a late surprise, especially if he doesn’t sign during the three day signing period. Percentages: 25% Michael Fasusi, LT, Lewisville: Word around Lewisville is Oklahoma is still in a good position. However, Texas sources still have some confidence. I have trouble seeing him flipping to A&M. He’s become a bigger need for Texas than he was in the summer. I’ll take the coward’s route and go with a coin flip. I’ll have more on this recruitment before his Wednesday afternoon decision. Percentages: 50% Michael Terry, ATH, San Antonio (Texas) Alamo Heights: I’ve had him as a Longhorn since his June official visit and still feel the same way. However, as I’m mentioned, Nebraska has remained very active in the recruitment. Percentages: 80% Justus Terry, DT, Manchester (Georgia): Texas or Georgia. Texas has a bigger need than UGA but UGA essentially has mythical status in the SE region and has the proximity advantage. Percentage: 40% Nate Marshall, DL, Oak Park (Ill.) Fenwick: I don’t think his Auburn commitment is built on a solid foundation. It has to do with his position coach being from the same area. He didn’t visit Auburn this fall. But, Auburn is very aggressive when it comes to NIL recruitments. I have this as Auburn vs Texas. Percentage: 40% Javion Hilson, Edge, Cocoa (Fla.): I’ve been fading this one for a while and pretty much said he wouldn’t be in the class less than a week ago. However, if Texas misses on Marshall they could make a last second push for Hilson. I’ve also wondered if they’d make a push for Hilson if it would vault them to the No. 1 class in the country. A&M has lost confidence or isn’t pushing as hard. Michigan doesn’t seem to know anything. Missouri? Who knows. Percentage: 20% Kellen Wiley, LB, Tampa (Fla.) Armwood: Two factors here: Texas knocked the OV out of the park with Wiley and his family and Florida never really pushed. Percentage: 85%
