Charles and Sharma will stay with Texas.

They'll flip one other DT

They'll take 3 in the portal. 4 if Savea transfers too.

Stop shitting your pants

I watched some of the highlights a few minutes ago. Terry has good size and speed. I can understand the poor body language - that Alamo Heights team was pure ass.

It really was just him and the RB. That QB threw a nice deep ball to him on his one TD catch, I would’ve thrown it up to him a lot more times but coach Rittiman has been good at doing less with more his whole career. It’s 5A D2, I guess I was expecting a 5 star to be a truly dominant force out there and Terry wasn’t that.
I could be underestimating how deflating it is to be the best player on a shitty team.

Gerry update on OTF Board

Spoiler

Recruiting: Percentages on top targets 24 hours from NSD

Early signing day for the 2025 cycle is just 24 hours away, and Steve Sarkisian and staff are set up to make a run at the No. 1 ranked class.

The Longhorns are currently sitting at the No. 4 ranked class in the industry, and OnTexasFootball believes the Longhorns are poised to close strong - with the understanding that there will be continued turbulence for 24 hours.

Here are the latest OTF percentages for remaining targets ... take with a grain of salt in this Tylenol Extra Strength inducing cycle.

Unnamed Target
OnTexasFootball puts the percentages for Texas to land the unnamed target at 75%.

Michael Fasusi, OT, Lewisville (Texas) High - *Oklahoma verbal
Oklahoma is fighting to keep the 6-5.5, 305-pounder in the class with a new OC hire. Fasusi committed to Bill Bedenbaugh as much as he did the Sooners. Texas has more optimism than Texas A&M as of Monday.

OnTexasFootball %'s: Texas 52%

Michael Terry III, ATH, San Antonio (Texas) Alamo Heights
Texas has led big for a while. I'm not prepared to back off that. The late cycle coaching changes in Lincoln shouldn't help the Cornhuskers chances either.

OnTexasFootball %'s: Texas 70%, Nebraska 30%

Kellen Wiley, ATH, Seffner (Fla.) Armwood
Texas has led for weeks now. Wiley is down to the Longhorns and the Maryland Terrapins. No, this is not a basketball recruitment. Texas has done a very good job of illustrating the vision the staff has for the Sunshine State 4-star.

OnTexasFootball %'s: Texas 75%, Maryland 25%

Justus TerryDL, Manchester (Ga.) High
Can Texas pull the upset over home-state Georgia? Well, OTF can say the Longhorns are absolutely all in. Terry will announce Friday, December 6. Loins girded!

OnTexasFootball %'s: Georgia 37%, Texas 33%, Auburn 30%

Javion HilsonEDGE, Cocoa (Fla.) High
Hilson is a three team race. An oracle told me I should be done underestimating the Michigan Wolverines down the stretch. Texas and Texas A&M are fighting Michigan.

OnTexasFootball %'s: Texas A&M 34%, Texas 33%, Michigan 33%

Nathaniel Marshall, DL, Oak Park (Ill.) Fenwick - *Auburn commit
Marshall did not have any communication with the correct people on the Texas staff Monday.

OnTexasFootball %'s: Texas 15%

He also had these percentages:

Texas class finish %'s:

No. 1: 35%

No. 2: 45%

No. 3: 20%

Gerry and Bobby are like a pendulum in full swing right now. Here’s to staying on the upswing through tomorrow.

There’s clearly a really big flip that might happen in UT’s favor.

Do we know if the "unnamed target" has been on an OV or is this just completely out of the blue?

Even though they keep teasing it, it’s not worth trying to crack the code when the team he’s currently committed to could up the ante and squash the whole thing

He doesn't want the news leaking cause Mike McDaniel might get pissed, but it's Jaylen Waddle.

Or we could keep upping the Ante.

I would consider cruising through the finish line with the current class in tact as a win. The longer this goes on the more time other teams have to try to scrape last minute retarded offers together.

That being said, by Gerry’s wording it sounds like Texas decided to be the crazy one on Justus Terry. I hope it works.

Would be nice to see us big dick UGA on that one. They already have like 4 DT commited. Make them have to pick and choose a little

w/r/t to the "big name" they're keeping secret, tt's not Terry because he specifically said it was a high-profile flip. Terry is currently uncommitted. Or at least that's how I read it.

Doesn't mean we won't get crazy with Terry too.

That's not how this is going to go for many, if any, schools. There will be decommitments and movement right at the end, so you better get some flips as well.

yeah I was just going off of how many OTF updates had mentioned the staff is “all in here.” Sounds like they decided to get crazy based on my reading. I hope so anyway. I know the reasoning for maintaining our ceiling on players but as an observer it feels bad losing out on top end d lineman.

No Gerry had Fasusi's name and also an unnamed player.

Nah, they’re desperately trying to get them both. They need to beef up OLine more than anything. Also this kid has basically been committed to A&M for months and everyone knew. If Eli had any real balls (which he doesn’t) he would’ve told that kid to go suck one when he was actively recruiting kids to A&M the whole time

If Elko would have been an OL in college, his body might make sense. But he played safety at Penn. He was an elite athlete (compared to the general population) and now he's a fat fuck. I'm only a few month younger than him, and if one of my college buddies went from college safety to 350lbs+ in the last two decades, I'd have a sit-down with him about his health. The only way his weight gain makes sense is if he's actively trying to turn into jabba the hut.

Eric Nahlin: Recruiting percentages for Texas' Early Signing Day finish

Quote

In just 24 short hours the board will be abuzz with confirmed signees for the 2025 Texas recruiting cycle. No matter how the finish shakes out this will be a cycle to be analyzed and discussed well after NSD given the shifting landscape beneath all our feet. One things’ for sure, you feel a lot better about the class now than you did during the summer. There’s a good chance you’ll feel even betterer come Wednesday afternoon, and perhaps then again on Friday. Let’s get to some percentages.

[REDACTED No. 1]: We’re not going to release this player’s name yet. This is the same player I mentioned early Monday afternoon. My gut tells me this one is already done but he obviously hasn’t gone public yet.

Percentages: 85%

[REDACTED No. 2]: This is another player to keep quiet that I hinted about on Monday. I’m not quite as confident on his flip as the above player but I wrote commitment articles for both last night so I do have some confidence.

Percentages: 60%

[REDACTED No. 3]: I expect this elite player to remain committed to his school but I can’t entirely rule out a late surprise, especially if he doesn’t sign during the three day signing period.

Percentages: 25%

Michael Fasusi, LT, Lewisville: Word around Lewisville is Oklahoma is still in a good position. However, Texas sources still have some confidence. I have trouble seeing him flipping to A&M. He’s become a bigger need for Texas than he was in the summer. I’ll take the coward’s route and go with a coin flip. I’ll have more on this recruitment before his Wednesday afternoon decision.

Percentages: 50%

Michael Terry, ATH, San Antonio (Texas) Alamo Heights: I’ve had him as a Longhorn since his June official visit and still feel the same way. However, as I’m mentioned, Nebraska has remained very active in the recruitment.

Percentages: 80%

Justus Terry, DT, Manchester (Georgia): Texas or Georgia. Texas has a bigger need than UGA but UGA essentially has mythical status in the SE region and has the proximity advantage.

Percentage: 40%

Nate Marshall, DL, Oak Park (Ill.) Fenwick: I don’t think his Auburn commitment is built on a solid foundation. It has to do with his position coach being from the same area. He didn’t visit Auburn this fall. But, Auburn is very aggressive when it comes to NIL recruitments. I have this as Auburn vs Texas.

Percentage: 40%

Javion Hilson, Edge, Cocoa (Fla.): I’ve been fading this one for a while and pretty much said he wouldn’t be in the class less than a week ago. However, if Texas misses on Marshall they could make a last second push for Hilson. I’ve also wondered if they’d make a push for Hilson if it would vault them to the No. 1 class in the country. A&M has lost confidence or isn’t pushing as hard. Michigan doesn’t seem to know anything. Missouri? Who knows.

Percentage: 20%

Kellen Wiley, LB, Tampa (Fla.) Armwood: Two factors here: Texas knocked the OV out of the park with Wiley and his family and Florida never really pushed.

Percentage: 85%

Hell, this was 7 years ago.  A bit overweight, sure, but nothing like the tub of goo on the sideline these days.
