Nobody is saying the class sucks. Just that there were two big misplays this past summer with LB and DT recruiting.

Naw I'd rather Texas take the players that are scheme fits as opposed to them just having a bunch of stars by their name.

I’m not interested in getting political, but your description of circumstances can get immediately fucked. Negged for attempting to absurdly minimize the assassination attempt on a presidential candid

Damn Sark, I thought you were an offensive wizard. This defensive class is a bunch of pipe hittin' mofos. That secondary class with the 2 corners and Williams/Hicks at safety is nasty.

If Sark keeps this up, along with our get 2 TDs then run you into the ground on offense style, they're going to have to change the moto to All Diesel no Air Brakes.

That has nothing to do with what was being talked about.

Why are you assuming its the latter, especially with regard to DT? "Enormous, fast, and mean" is pretty good fit for any scheme.

Trust the coaches, got it. There is no need for you to contribute any further, we understand your position on every issue moving forward.

Wonder how many programs are now contacting unsigned LSU recruits now? Oregon, USC, and the usual SEC suspects. I’m kinda interested to see who Ole Miss takes.

It's not just them either. It's 1/3 of their class

I hope their 5 star Florida cb is taking late offers from newly funded Florida and Miami.

Wiley was a loss, but aside from that, extremely solid day.

Where did he go? That's a bit surprising, guess that's an extra LB they're going to have to identify and land in the portal.

Outside of an extra DT and LB the only glaring miss this cycle ended up being Dakorian Moore. But when a dude hates his family so much he's fleeing to the PNW wilderness, there's nothing you can do about that.

Miami…despite Miami refusing to allow him to take an official visit

LSU is actually getting picks to land a 5-star flip OL from FSU

Can't be any worse than what they've had.

The difference in records for LSU and UF is only one win, but it's amazing the difference in recruiting momentum.

Will Sark sign any punters or placekickers straight from high school going forward?

OR will that strictly be rolling the dice to HOPE you can get them from the portal every year?

Has he said anything about future philosophy on getting punters or placekickers?

Talk about poor choices.

He can take it this week, since they no longer have a game.

There's always solid K/P talent in the Portal. We didn't chase it last year since we thought Auburn and Kern could do the job (oops)

Trace Armstrong is also Poles' and Eberflus' agent. I'd guess he lands there as OC since they're retaining Poles, but will probably also interview for HC.

Yeah, that's a helluva big-ass OOPS!  FFS

Interesting how the money is flying around right now. Gerry mentioned because profit sharing will change so much next year that teams are emptying both barrels right now. I am still unclear how profit share will impact NIL. Are there going to be new rules around what guys can do on the NIL side?

Not according to the supreme court as well as all other precedent of professional athletes making money with endorsements and appearances. Is there a governing body that limits what you can be paid?
NIL is untouchable

Is Florida actually flipping anyone? They struck out with Texas commits.

I still think Kern will be fine, but we definitely need to K in the worst way.  Auburn is getting worse each game.

So many leaky vaginas over a random post saying he might flip.

He'll take walk ons for those, but I'm sure portal will be the top avenue.

Think it would have to be an elite talent to use a scholarship on out of HS

I thought there aren't going to be any walk-ons anymore, so how does that work?

Would be better than retreading coach Bro like they're linked to now.

Why didn't you come in to the thread before and reassure us that it would all be ok?  Very inconsiderate of you.

There's no more walk ons? Hadn't heard about that.

Yea, this is the clear path. Just like Taco Charlton was a better fit for the 4-3 than TJ Watt.

Only question left. Are we going to give Justus Terry a ride back to Austin after Sec championship?

I’m on the other side-if you want to beat up teams with strong defense you’ve got to pair that with a reliable punter.

Particularly with the offense poised to be more inconsistent next season with the new lineman and TE.

That dude is cushioned with his fantasies by the ineptitude of the ACC. The two times they went up against SEC teams this year, they were smaller, slower, and crushed at the point of attack. I'm sure they'll do awesome in the playoffs, should they somehow actually beat SMU. I'd love to see Texas face them.

They open next season against LSU.  Home game for Clemson.  Should be entertaining seeing as how Brian Kelly is 0-3 in season openers at LSU and his teams have looked so undisciplined.

He should try to get one from that ProKick Australia group.

Kern is a true freshman who didn't get to campus until July and played hurt.  Give him an off-season in the S&C program and he'll be much better next year.  His average this year was almost identical with Dickson his freshman year.

What does 💩 jerruh cowgirl drafting have to do with Texas recruiting? 😅
