  • Hey that’s cool

  • I had the pleasure of following both TJ Ford and Vince Young in high school their junior and senior years. That was a time in my life where I made sure to catch as many high school games as I could in

You know, for a basketball team, we're not very good at basketball.

Wow Texas is such a terrible passing team...

Askew is the only guy on the roster that can consistently make good crisp passes, especially into the post

Literally us last year

I sware I said the same thing. .

We need to run the offense through Askew. He is crisp and has much better vision than any other guard on the team.

they are letting Tenn get away with a ton of grabbing and pushing.  that last play the guy just gave an extended forearm shiver to Allen's back.

3 shot!

Up 2 at half just like we drew it up.

Derka paid the refs.

My playing and coaching days are well behind me, but just some observations on what is supposed to be offense:

1. Holding the ball waaaay too damn long.

2. Not enough movement without the ball. Lots of standing around.

3. Off a shot, too much ball watching; instead of going for the rebound or boxing out.
4. Too much fucking dribbling.
5. The cuts are soft instead of sharp and hard.

A damn miracle we are ahead at half. But I’ll take it.

Old Barnes would sit this kid for two games.

That’s what made me done with Barnes because his doghouse got out of control.

Carr needs to play less. Not saying he's totally worthless but the minutes he's getting are head-scratching at this point.

You forgot defense.  We’re ahead because of defense.

Any thoughts on the defense based on your playing and coaching days?

Every time I hear "SEC It just means more" I can't help but think their schools suck because it just doesn't matter.

I mean, that's going to be how it is with Beard, but especially with this team. Maybe we see some improvements in the future with a point guard that can penetrate consistently, but overall it's going to be a methodical claw your eyes out type of offense.

I love the people who haven't paid attention at all, then they come on here, "First game I've seen this year. Let me drop several blinding glimpses of the obvious." Yeah, we know. It's been that way all year long. It's likely going to be that way in many ways in the future. Figure out how to love shot clock horns going off.

all salient points.

Tennessee is neither passing nor moving their ass on offense.

This shit is custom made for getting shut the fuck down by this defense.

"This is like an intra-squad scrimmage, where each team knows the other team doesn't have an offense."

Which is typical Barnes. Nothing new here.

another awful call.  horrible pass that no one had.

Allen is great at cutting.  court awareness off the ball  is first rate.

That sub for Tennessee looks like he needs sunblock for protection against the arena lights.

Always the token whitey in basketball

ha. they call that on Tenn.  they've been doing that every trip we take up the court.

Douche looked at his hand after missing an easy layup.
