Honestly, the way Sig has handled this sours me on any of their guns.  Clearly, their entire lineup isn't misfiring but their damage control has sucked.

For sure. A case study in how to not do it.

So many better guns out there.

No kidding, but I am not getting rid of my P365X.

For sure. I really like my M400 for what it is, but they have made a terrible mess of this situation.

Cerakoted Hi-point Handgun Coated With Cerakote H-175 And H-224

Picked up the kid’s Christmas present today. The complete package seems a lot heavier than the other one.

Just ordered one of these for my younger son as a novelty gift.
Did the same for his older brother last year.
They are pretty unique little jewels, IMO, but not for extensive plinking.

My problem with this is, besides the gun for ants, is the website.  And who owns/hawks it.

Lovely stock, etc.

Man I’m about to go on a suppressor buying spree after Jan 1. I don’t anticipate shooting anything without a can on the end.

I found that used SP5 for a decent price and went ahead and got it. Going to wait until January and sbr it

If you get the atf blessing does that mean you don’t have to do the stupid parts swaps?

I plan on having a few form 1's ready to go, because why not? 2 liter bottle? Why not?

I also need to learn CAD, because an integrally suppressed pen gun that shoots .22lr would be pretty sweet to print out. Would it serve a purpose? No, but it would be pretty a pretty cool project.

Also, FYI, there is a forced reset mod sailing on the strange waters for your 10/22...

You  could also put a folding brace on it amd avoid the need to deal with it.  I did that on my 416 .22 pistol.

Touche. I think I'm going to start here and see how i like it before going through the trouble of converting it

This was the best for my gun.   It's a lot sturdier than it looks and does the job well.

I had not realized they moved from Pond Springs until a couple of weeks ago. That's where I picked up that SP5

Really? Where are they now?

I somehow simultaneously both respect you more and less by finding out you own a Tec-9.

Fair! It was in the most Tec-9 condition possible when I got it, see below

Anybody here have opinions about Blackjack gunsmithing or somebody else you like and have had good experience with here in Austin? Somebody gave me a Tec-9 that had been in its case in the back of a closet since 1992 that looks to be in good working order but should disassembled, cleaned, inspected and test fired by someone other than me.

Also came with a the optional barrel extender and two Intratec 32 round magazines, one of which was full of 30 year old bullets, and had one in the chamber when it was given to me.
And that's why we ALWAYS check first, kids.

When I “liberated” this Remington Model 51 from my MIL in the early 1970s, it was in Condition 1 - and had been since her father had last loaded it maybe 30 years before.

Funny thing/Nightmare fuel about that Tec-9, since I’m going to assume that most of you are old enough to remember the issues associated with that gun.

Spoiler

The nice old gent who gave it to me in that condition has mid-stage  Parkinson’s and planned to inspect/clean the gun before giving it to me, but then got too busy.
Things could have gotten very … exciting.

50+ years ago when at the Daughters of the Confederacy museum in the Old Land Office building next to the Capitol, I noticed that an  antique Colt Dragoon revolver on display had percussion caps in place on the cylinder nipples.
I informed one of the staff of the strong possibility it was still loaded with its powder charges, but she didn’t seem to be interested.

CHIEF Jr. came home with a new toy, I have a feeling he bought it yesterday. He kept mentioning what had all been done to it, how much his boss had put into it ($3500) and what a good deal it was.

Jeffreys-Berretta.jpg

His boss shoots competitively, and this one was for three gun comp. He built out this Barretta 92X. Ported barrel, really light trigger, more pronounced mag release. He got the original stock slide separately. Fitted with a Holosun red dot. This is his new daily carry. The Sig situation has him a bit sketched, he also doesn't like the way they have handled the P320 situation. He decided he doesn't want to carry a striker fire as his daily and opted for a double action hammer fired. He doesn't think he would survive his FN 510 accidentally going off in the holster, I don't either. So much for him ratholing his money. He ended up paying $1200, the barrel has about 5000 rounds through it, but should last for about 50k.

CHIEF

Putting $3500 into that gun is nuts.

Paying $1200 for it is A-OK. But that’s the limit.

You just can’t put that much money into a production gun and expect it to be what it isn’t.

If any of yall are considering putting 4K+ into a pistol please talk to me before.

That said - nice purchase.

If I had the $$$$ to buy a handgun, I’d see you about a Korth revolver.

These two things make me itchy.  Comp guns and EDC guns are two different animals, built to do two completely different things.  I's just say be careful with that hair trigger.

His daily carry sits in the truck 99% of the time. He might have it on him if he is somewhere shady, which might be two or three times per year.
