Any recommendations for glass for my new AR-10 in .308? Planning just to have it on hand for pigs on the farm mostly under 100 yards.

Thinking about this one (, but I'm not an optics guy so I'm open to suggestions from someone who knows more than me.

Trijicon makes incredible ruggedized optics.  Their conventiontal stuff is overpriced.  For the cost of that scope there, you can get a lot of other things that are better.

This is what I covet:

Cool scope I went a different direction and a smaller budget because I was thinking more about longer range shooting 100+

So I got a 4-14 FFP  https://www.opticsplanet.com/primary-arms-primary-arms-4-14x44mm-riflescope-acss-hud-dmr-308-reticle.html

THAT is some wheel gun porn. If your gunsmith OKs it, you have to shoot it and have your g-g-g-g grandkids tic-toc the event. (It’s like a daguerrotype that moves brat)

Oh - my kids are related to Samual Walker from my ex’s side.

Anyone know where I can find a kydex OWB paddle holster for a Sig P320 Compact that's wearing an Olight Balder Mini?

There's a company that makes what I want on Amazon but they don't have the 320 Compact + Olight Balder Mini holster for some reason.

I have to pick a gun out of these 3, any thoughts on which one to take?

1. Glock 43 9MM

2. Sig 365 9MM

3. Kimber Micro 380

365 and it’s not even close. If you do anything other than get the 365 you’re an idiot.

I greatly prefer my P365 over my G43

Agree with this.

I'm a fan of the Springfield XD, and I found a unicorn last night; one factory chambered in 45 GAP.  My local Sheels had on in their used gun case l marked "46 GAP" for $299.  I thought it was mislabled, but Google says they built them for a bit.  So I bought it.

I nearly bought one in 357 SIG when they came out. Just stuck with the XD40

Wrote a positive post about the handgun model named in the two posts above. For some reason Tapa and or Surly changed the model named above into laughter emojis so I have removed it.

ANTIGUNNER CENSORSHIP  (Just kidding)

Lol "certain Springfield branded pistols (originally made in Croatia) are really great."

I posted this on the old board: I got a Croatian made Springfield two tone handgun with a 5in bbl, frame safety and its amazing. They don't make these any more for some reason - I've checked. The manual of arms of a 1911 but lighter, 13+1, and it actually runs. It'll even cycle rat shot for snake eliminating. Dead-on-balls accurate. My favorite handgun. It lives inder my right elbow in the truck center console every day. I would Fn cry like a 6yo girl with a skinned knee if it ever got stolen. But it's the handgun I'm most confident in connecting with and I keep it where shit is most likely to go down.

FU Jack Dorsey, Bezos, Bill Gates and Zuck. I won't be silenced about these Croatian made devices from Springfield!

I’ve got a Croatian made one as well. It’s also my favorite pistol. I could give the same review you did minus the snake shot.

365 is what my son and I both carry. Great little pistol.

CHIEF

The first ones had bad finishes.  My was pitted in just a few years.  Much better now.  I imagine they upped their game when they moved production to the US.

They have  TRUE single action trigger, and you can tell.  VERY good trigger.

They let you keep your service revolver?

I haven’t gone to a double stack yet for CC. Still tote my Kahr CW9 7+1  IWB (Remora holster) now & then.

Looking more closely at the pictures, I get it now.

NSIAPed cause Chicks with Guns!

Isn't it crazy that outside of varying manufacturing changes and assembly methods firearms designs have changed very, very little over decades.  The material they are made of obviously changed as have optics, but little else.  Gas operated recoil systems date back to the 1850's.

Rule of thumb: starter gun safe should be bigger than your current refrigerator.

You finally get one?

Superior Outfitters in Longview gets it in. They normally post on their Facebook when they get ammo.

You finally get one?
Upper is on the way. Should be here fri or mon. Will mount the thermal to it for now and get a dedicated 300 when shit settles down.

Can’t believe I’m letting y’all in on my plug...

https://www.gorillaammo.com/product-category/view-ammo-by-caliber/300-blackout-view-ammo-by-caliber/

They’ve lowered their round counts but it’s still about $1.50 ppr on the hunting rounds, which isn’t the worst considering everyone else is selling range ammo at 1.25-1.40 ppr.

I last ordered a 170 count bucket but now they are 160.

Also:
https://www.freedommunitions.com/ammunition/rifle/300-aac-blackout.html
Their prices have gone up a as well. Last month I was paying 1.3ppr after shipping etc
I have had good experience with Freedom prior to the market implosion.

Yeah their .308 a-Max 178gr had been solid but now it’s always sold out. I like it better than just about everything that isn’t Federal Fusion 180gr.

Gorilla has been solid for me as well, I switched from a-Max to the Lehigh pig punisher after somebody in here recommended that over the a and v Max

Im sure its been discussed, but have yall seen the facebook ads for "fuel filters" that are actually suppressors? Amazing they are doing that.

And more amazing people are buying them. You punch your name and address in to a computer for a class 3 item you are buying illegally.

I never fully understood how the solvent trap purchase and form 1 submission works because it all sounds chicken or the egg type conundrum to me...

But I know of some that have form 1 cans that were originally solvent trap purchases. But I don’t know them.

Last I looked into them, if you are gonna do it legally, the ATF considers the shell of the filter itself to be a serial numbered part that cannot be replaced, only repaired. So I'm guessing that your $200 tax stamp is a pretty poor investment. On the other hand, you are looking at a lot of parts that have legitimate uses outside of suppressors, so just owning the parts would be an expensive way to possibly show them who is boss without any real benefits unless you just want to be an outlaw.

The oil filters take an adapter. The adapter is the Nfa part.
