DirecTV app on AppleTV and iPhone is as good maybe even better than YTTV. I am used to their channel numbers and location on the guide since I have been a satellite customer for decades. I signed up for YTTV for the Sunday Ticket discount. I’m switching back to DirecTV after the regular season is over. You get Rockets and Astros on SCHN with DirecTV you don’t with YTTV. Stupid thing about it is if I go that route I’ll just pay for sports and some streaming subscriptions, which means the channels that I enjoy in passing (food network while cooking) suffer and they haven’t been the cause of this madness. Speaking of madness, with cord cutting not sure how you get access via streaming to TBS/TNT/TruTV for march madness without 🏴☠️.

I get Altitude here in Denver for $13.99 a month with DTV (added Rockies channel but who cares). Would cost $19.99 for an Altitude+ sub. I’ll take it.
November 1Nov 1 We’re watching ESPN Gameday on plain ol YouTube. Plan on watching the game that way.YMMV
November 1Nov 1 I did Fubo 5 day trial. Will cancel on Monday. if it isn't resolved by the Ga game, I will do direct tv trial and probably cancel YTTV. I will miss the multiview.
November 1Nov 1 Didn’t they pull this shit before the Ohio St opener too? WTF do they have against UT?Getting sick of this shit. Time to look for alternatives. Screw The Mouse and Google both.
November 1Nov 1 Looks like the game is being broadcast on SECN for those with ESPN Ultimate but no Disney+/Hulu combo.

It’s not helpful. It’s helpful to me. I have YTTV for sports. If sports aren’t available, I cancel. The root of the problem and Disney’s position is irrelevant.

Pro tip, living at the bottom of a deep hollar in remote Tennessee is bad for free TV viewing. ESPN+ app working for me (Select or whatever it's called, not unlimited)
November 1Nov 1 I got Direct TV, and it is simply not working. Not on my tv or any devices. Tech support couldn't offer any suggestions. For all the "just watch streams on youtube" suggestions, they are all being taken down immediately.

Differences between it and YTTV seem negligible. Might keep it. One thing that jumps out just from using this morning is the fast forward and rewind suck comparatively. The way you can see where you are in the feed when moving around is extremely helpful vs just using time stamps and a black screen with Fubo. Still, pretty sick of the YTTV price gouging after adding shit channels no one wants every 6 months.
November 1Nov 1 LOL ... dug my little 25 year old loop antenna outta my box full o' cables in the shed. Doesn't even have a coax connection. Has those little clips that you screw onto the back of the tv. Stuck one prong from each wire into the coax connection, programmed the channels, and voila wah lah. Works like a charm. $0 spent. Welcome to 1970. Blew my kids' minds. They couldn't believe it worked. /csb They be like ... Edited November 1Nov 1 by wood

November 1Nov 1 This is straight up bullshit. Paying 30 something a month for Disney Hulu and ESPN now surcharge for “unlimited “ espn which apparently means any fucking event you would actually want to see
November 1Nov 1 Just fucking stream it for free on your laptop and mirror it to your TV. It's not complicated. https://thetvapp.to/tv/wabc-new-york-abc-east-live-stream/

The multiview is better than YTTVs, faster and loads instantly. set your favorite channels on a computer browser and arrange your favorites to be your guide. i do locals, sports, news, weather, BS Channels. i actually like the UI more for Fubo than YTTV
November 1Nov 1 1 hour ago, BlackCat said: Is Fubo garbage or something? I’ve been using it for years so I can watch the Astros I like it better than YTTV, outside of having no TNT and TBS for march madness plus it has fan duel sports north so i dont have to juggle between apps. my only gripe is when im on mobile data, it gives me a totally different location for locals so I pick up Minneapolis locals instead of Fargo. but when Im on home wifi it picks up Fargo. weird, but not a huge deal Edited November 1Nov 1 by MNLonghornFUKM
November 1Nov 1 $19 HD antenna from WalMart for the win. Plugged it in, ran a scan = 47 HD channels for free—switching back and forth right now between football and Gunsmoke.
November 1Nov 1 Hulu + Live TV is currently discounted to 64.99 for 3 months but then you're really just encouraging them.

Don’t keep them hooked up because they look like shit. I looked at pricing, and apparently the all ad bundle with espn unlimited is only $5 a month more than what I pay now, for the first year then $5 more after that. But I’m on a legacy setup so unsure if I can go back down to current, if I wish to. I used to have some rabbit ears. I replaced it with an outdoor/attic antenna and installed it in the attic of my two story home. Much better antenna and great reception higher up. Been working great for many years now.

November 1Nov 1 17 minutes ago, Michael Knight said: If you only want to watch 1 game that you can't pause or rewind its great. Plenty of ways around that. This whole fiasco, again, is making me rethink my setup and trying to position for a better/easier/less hassle experience long term. Here's the big picture I'm zeroing in on: - OTA Antenna - HD HomeRun - Channels DVR Server + NAS - whatever "cable streamer" - Channels App on devices (OTA connected to HDHR -> HDHR connected to Channels DVR Server <- "Cable Streamer" connected to Channels DVR Server) The channels dvr server is the glue in this deal, and pulls it all together. The thing being that when this happens again, I can swap credentials "under the hood" in the channels dvr server, and keep on going without impacting the end user experience and having to use a different app and losing whatever recordings etc. I have several options that can run the server and whatnot, but have to figure out what I want to do about storage. ETA: Channels DVR Server also has multiview. Edited November 1Nov 1 by thunderlounge

November 1Nov 1 I have Hulu, but not live tv. Just the $12.99 a month version. But for some reason I'm now watching the game on Hulu.
November 1Nov 1 10 minutes ago, Derka said: that sounds complicated. It really isn't. Just open a couple of tabs and mute the one you're not watching. This is what my screen looks like at the moment. If I want to check the Ohio State / Penn State game, I simply switch tabs. Check other scores? Click the scoreboard. Check Surly? Click that tab. You can do the same with the games on YouTube, if you prefer, or one of a thousand other free streaming options out there.
November 1Nov 1 I spent $5 on a sling day pass. I’d do that every weekend as opposed to yttv because I don’t watch anything until Saturday.
