Currently a tornado just southeast of Marlin....

Somebody saying Collie Station needs to prepare their bunghole.

How would you know if it got hit?

We had driven by that shopping center five hours before the tornado hit it.

All the beige would be in smaller pieces?

More storms (non severe) forming SW of Austin. Bring on the rain.

Just about to come in with this.  Should not be severe, still could be a bit poppy though. But this last line should be it for this event.  Officially watches etc. not expire until 10, but most of the energy is out of the atmosphere where it was bad earlier.

Good thing the poo supplies store was intact though!

Are you staying with some friends there?   Lots of room?

This is one of my subcontractors in Elgin. Turn down the volume a little bit. It looks like the beginning of the tornado that swept through that area. It was about 7pm.

Was watching the Jacksboro tornado, worried Herd’s was going to take a hit. Told CHIEF Jr. it went west by a little over half a mile. It was past the turn to Antelope. That Jacksboro high school and the Dollar General took the direct hit. Hate to be right for once.

It's been prepared for well over 100 years.

catching some pea sized hail in Lakeway right now. Fuck.

I wouldn't worry, it won't be bad or long-lasting.

KBTX is showing that one center of rotation should go right over the aggy campus.  Can't wait to see how much the state has to pay for rebuilding.

"We just ran out of bike helmets."

Texas Storm Chaser stream has the dude pretty much calling a tornado on the ground in Snook heading towards BCS.....15 mins away?

Yeah, aggy tornado is moving 50 mph.

The Round Rock tornado:

That will probably all be neighborhoods in 10 years.

Looks like about that.  KBTX shows the worst heading more toward Bryan, just brushing Northgate and the north side of campus.

The rotation is past Snook and crossing the Brazos right now.

No, please don't hit Kyle field.

Do you think they'll make a t-shirt for this?

Jokes aside I hope the campus is spared. Talk about a nightmare scenario if hit directly. Looks like it’ll miss the dorms and all thankfully.

Many of the students live in a few high rises in Northgate and housing in south Bryan.  This is hitting right there right now.  KBTX is reporting visual confirmation of a tornado in west Bryan.

I've been a UT fan since I first hit campus in 1982.  I had never gone to B/CS until last spring, when that was where I found a covid vaccine.

God, what a dump.  I don't wish injury or death on anyone, but that campus could use a good leveling.  Problem is, they'd find a way to build back uglier.

How much do they owe their recruiting class?

If the tornado hits College Station it will do about $5mm in improvements.

Some pics from the Taylor Press, this is about a quarter mile north of the intersection of Hwy 95 and Hwy 29 that goes west to Georgetown, just north of Circleville.  The last picture is the house that they were showing on KXAN where the storm spotters stopped at, it is right across the street from the storage place.

Their stacks of logs couldn't handle a zero mph wind. Kyle Field is fucked.

Latest scan shows the tornado is in east Bryan heading up 21 to the northeast.  It looks like the center probably missed campus and Kyle Field.  There is hail and high winds in the storm, so we'll see what happens with those.

This is due northeast about 3/4 mile from the last pictures, intersection of CR 346 and 347

Torrential rain with some minor hail hitting us in Brushy Creek on the west side of Round Rock.

Should be some hail now in Round Rock.

Used to be a pretty good BBQ stop in Rice's Crossing, but that was 25 years ago. If it is still there, I hope it made it.

With the wildfires, I was worried about Mary's in Strawn, the tornado in Jacksboro, earlier today, I was worried about Herd's, in Elgin, I was worried about Southside Market. I should I be ashamed, but I always lead with my stomach.

"Welcome to Walmart.  Run, run, run, run!!!  Look at that car.  Run, run, run, run!!!"

Pea-sized hail, and lots of it, in 78750.  Raining about 3/4 to sideways.

And then about two minutes later, like Keyser Soze, it's gone...
