October 13, 20223 yr Those rain totals are over 7 days and mostly expected on Sunday and Monday when the front is supposed to arrive. I’ll just hope the front shows up and brings half of that regional total.

There was a pocket of wet road in round rock/Georgetown on my drive home last night. Then my kid’s soccer practice was cancelled due to lighting that was east of us so hutto/manor. A precious few got some rain yesterday.

We had a quick sprinkle out of no where last night then the downpour this morning. Of course the roof on our production building wasn’t planned to go back on until Friday 🤦♂️
October 17, 20223 yr That round about six weeks ago, got about half as much as most places. Last night got about 2", which seems to be considerably more than most. Man, everything needed it.
October 17, 20223 yr 1.7" at my house in NW Travis. The Halloween decorations took a beating, but we will rebuild!
October 17, 20223 yr .75” but it’s also my watering day, so that makes it a little more beneficial. Get that water good and deep. Guess that’s it for this round? Or is there any chance that stuff out west holds together? My apps don’t think it’s likely

October 17, 20223 yr I seeded Bermuda on Saturday so this helps. How many days in a row do I need to water to get the seeds to sprout? Can I miss any days? Just curious as I would like to avoid fines for watering on non-watering days.

October 17, 20223 yr It's "dark" for nearly 12 hours right now. Today in Austin, sunrise was 7:35 AM, and sunset is 6:58 PM. Plan your watering accordingly -- it would take some seriously nosy neighbors to even notice.

October 23, 20223 yr Cold front plus remnants of Hurricane Roslyn means we'll likely get rain tomorrow, possibly even something fierce. Can't wait.
October 23, 20223 yr Shit, there's tornado watch tomorrow 'cause of this shit? Driest fucking October in 100 years and possibly deadly tornadoes, what a wonderful fucking fall! Well at least we're looking at a steady rainfall for basically all daylight hours tomorrow adding up to 1-1.5"
October 23, 20223 yr Hand watering means you out there holding the nozzle. I think I already spend enough time standing around holding my nozzle.

October front giving parts of Texas a 2% chance of Tornadoes with straight line winds being the primary threat from NWS is just plain ole fall weather.

Could end up needing one tomorrow night, though, especially for east and southeast Texas.

October 23, 20223 yr Ha. Just saw the weather. It's showing a 70% chance and then the model run KXAN showed had 0.01". As of earlier today it was 100% chance. Same shit, different day.
October 24, 20223 yr Been weird. Never seems like it’s properly raining, but the ground is staying wet. No sun to aid in evaporation, but still.

October 24, 20223 yr A little drizzle this afternoon in NW Travis. Weather app previously forecast rain all afternoon, now it's down to just 60% at 9 or 10, and I suspect that won't actually happen. Big ol' bust, as expected.
October 24, 20223 yr The real stuff is already building out west. If it extends down far enough, we could get another round of rain tonight.

October 25, 20223 yr My Dark Sky app said under a tornado watch. Will we see any real action? It’s pretty still in 78717…
