New tornado warning for Hays/Travis, for storm heading towards Austin.  Call people on the road to say get out of traffic  Tornado moving up just east of Barton Creek Mall, maybe will skirt Shady Hollow.  Probably not full on-ground but rotating.

Don't feel like replacing another car after doing so about a year ago. Guess I'll just hang out at the office for another hour or so.

Yeah, Yeomans is outstanding at this.  Total pro.

And this looks like it's gonna be bad.

Hearing all of the phones & alerts go off in the KXAN studio while broadcasting was a dose of reality. And David telling his fiancé to go to the safe space under the stairs at their house. Damn.

People on 35 right now are in for a helluva drive home.

David.

Even if no tornado, pingpong sized hail in it.  Will damage cars.  Get off the road if you're reading this while surfing porn.

Wimberley tornado has weakened, but keep watching for hail and strong winds into south Austin and environs.

Pretty tame so far in 78745 but I moved my car under the carport just in case.

If it hails I owe you a beer.

Tornado warning for north Ft. Worth, mid cities to Grapevine.  If touches down could hit a lot of pop.

Oh good

Worst of Austin-bound storm might be moving a little east, maybe 35 or just east of it.  Barton Creek Mall will be spared, so the olds have somewhere to walk still.

Probably not much, although watches are up until 10. Keep one eye open, but most of the worst is now.  Rain continues here/there into evening.

Tomorrow, sunny as a Willard Scott forecast.

Yeah, suddenly it's very bright with light wind and rain.

Man, Bee Cave got straddled but not teabagged. I got next to nothing.

And I'm damn glad.

Raining hard and gusty winds at 360 and Bee Cave Rd

He threw out a booda as well. Haven’t heard him attempt seguin yet.  Tough assignment.

If I went to the trouble of cleaning out a bay in my garage for nothing so I could move my car in somebody is going to pay, mister!

A shitload of dry air, wind, and fire hazard weather.

You all be safe down there and direct these storms to college station.

ATC EMS sent their mobile mass casualty unit. Isn't that enough for you people?

Jim Spencer relegated to the Storm Tracker mobile is so him. Dude "retired" two years ago and I think he's been on the air ever since. Lulz.

He's a local treasure.

Ima gonna go eat dinner.  I think the worst is moving thru now, I'm out unless needing to come back.  Keep safe for 30 more minutes or so for ATX.

Looks like the path is along 121

And that'll be it for rain for the next 5 months. See you in September.

Jim’s probably seen a lot of shafts at Rain.

Ooh, before I go, tornado warning for - Jarrell.  Ugh.  That tornado is expected to be very bad.

Keep in mind these storms are gonna get worse as they move east into eastern Texas this evening.  Multiple tornadoes expected.

Indeed, but it was time. Yeomans' team approach is calm but informative.
