February 14, 20223 yr RIP Modern TimesDamn, I’ve noticed a huge volume drop in their distro, but this sucks. Glad to see their Anaheim location is staying and it’s not a complete closure.
February 15, 20223 yr Modern Times definitely tried to grow way too fast. I assume they blew through the millions they raised selling “stock” in a few months. That was quite the scam. Buy shares you can’t sell and that pay no dividends, it’s a great deal!
February 15, 20223 yr Gonna be in Santa Barbara in March for spring break and was looking forward to checking out MT’s taproom there.
February 15, 20223 yr Seems increasingly clear that being your local brewery with a modest localish distro is a much more sustainable model than going big and trying to fight for nationwide shelf space.
February 15, 20223 yr I will be interested to see if Toppling Goliath continues to make it on a larger distribution basis. If they make it, they will be one of the last regional craft breweries to expand nationally on their own and pull it off. I've thought for 5-6 years that their end goal would be to sell out to someone bigger, but I'm not as sure at this point.
February 15, 20223 yr Tough to find any modern times cans in austin that aren't at least 4 months old.
February 15, 20223 yr Tough to find any modern times cans in austin that aren't at least 4 months old.The fact that they’re on the shelf for 4+ months is a decent indicator of why they’re not doing well.
February 21, 20223 yr Siberian Silk from La Cumbre in Albuquerque. We visited this weekend and I was excited to bring a 4pk of these badboys home. So smooth, so fucking "Holy shit that's a big boy beer!" Have never seen these in the stores, and I love their Slice of Hefen, 2nd only to Live Oak in my book. This Baltic Porter was freaking awesome!!!
February 21, 20223 yr Has anybody tried this beer delivery service? Would like to try it out. But if anyone has an experience with it before I make the leap I’d appreciate your thoughts on the service. Pros/cons etc.

But if anyone has an experience with it before I make the leap I’d appreciate your thoughts on the service. Pros/cons etc. I’ve used Tavour. I have tapered off over the last few months but will still occasionally use it to get beers from Anchorage and Allegash. You have to order enough to make the shipping cost worth it.

As we will be with our kids, I had removed it as a possible lunch destination. It had a really cool look though and was planning on swinging in for a quick drink and ambiance.
February 26, 20223 yr My neighborhood brewery Vector Brewing taking a page out of the Martin House playbook of trolling Surly:
February 26, 20223 yr Also that’s a joke that the brewer does weekly with weird beers like a shrimp ale
February 27, 20223 yr Celebrating a job offer and probable move to Maui tonight so cracked this guy. Shit’s special.

Thanks for the advice.
