I haven't been in 15 years but pretty much every bar we went in seemed like a beer hall.  The selection at every random hole in the wall was amazing.

Anybody have breweries/beer hall recs for Brussels? I know Cantillon and 3 Fonteinen obviously. Bruges or Antwerp as well would be nice.

RIP Spencer Brewery. Though it did feel odd to have a Trappist in the US.

Seems like the RIPs to breweries has ticked up this year. Weird to survive the pandemic then fold. PPP loans running out?

That and significant increased labor, ingredients and packaging costs.

And, some of the failing breweries just weren't very good...

its good to have a controlled burn. i will miss picking up a walkie from adelberts on the way to q2 tho.

also many of the breweries RIP'd in this thread are actually still in business. apparently there's a very loose RIP standard.

My wife’s been doing the mowing the past month as I’ve been busy in the field. Finally gave the lawn a proper, patterned cut. This a perfect post-mow beer

My wife had to go to Detroit for work. Offered to bring stuff back in her (free) checked suitcase. Worked out well for me.

As much as I love cans over bottles, having Zombie Dust in cans still feels weird to me.

I’ve had them in each format (including on tap in the now defunct brewpub). While bottles were the tried and true “classic” format, the 19.2 oz, just a few days old fresh mega-can versions were pretty damn nice…
