We shouldn’t be so glib with thinking he has mental issues. He seems like he is just an asshole. His pattern of behavior (abuse, fraud and showmanship) is not indicative of bigger problems. Maybe if he didn’t keep getting second chances because of his talent, these issues might go away.

I think it's naive to think he isn't struggling with something mentally. Literally every sign in the book is there.

He's likely a genuine piece of shit with mental health problems.

No doubt he's been smart with his money and invested wisely.  I'm sure he'll be fine.

I have a feeling that he invests each game check in a safe, balanced index fund that buys only blue-chip stocks and investment-grade bonds.

You're right. If you ignore him just hours ago doing one of the craziest things we've ever seen an NFL player do on the field and if you also ignore the unrelated laundry list of incidences demonstrating unstable and erratic behavior he seems completely sane and just another asshole.

Maybe he was just having a Jerry Maguire moment. Anyone check the Tampa locker room for a goldfish or Renee Zellweger?

Why are so many so quick to go to the mental health excuse? Some people are just genuine pieces of shit.

Go watch the hit on AB by Burfict. I’m sure AB has zero CTE issues. [emoji849]

Now he's gonna joust Logan Paul on pay per view and get a face tattoo of his own face.

I mean, it can definitely be both. Having mental health issues doesn't give you a carte blanche excuse to be an asshole.

Projection.  Straight up.

At a certain point, shitty people are just shitty people.

Kinda surprised AB didn't go Full Monty, throw his pants into the stands and take a shit in the end zone.

Isn’t that around the time he really started going crazy?

Yeah. He was always a hothead / Showoff, but after that hit, he went off the rails.

He hurled furniture off a balcony because someone had the audacity to charge him rent.

Someone call Dr. Spaceman!

Genuinely shocked that the Bucs cut him.  You’d have to think a contender will sign him for the playoffs though.

No one will sign him. His career is likely over at this point. If not for Brady talking Arians into bringing him in it already would be.

I do hope he receives some help though in the form of a treatment facility and therapy for as long as is deemed necessary, which in his case might be years worth.

True. But some people are just morons. Based on his actions today and in the past I’d say he doesn’t deserve any benefit of doubt in that regard.

No. He walked to the locker room with 3 seconds left when his team could have still technically recovered an onside kick and thrown a hail mary.

I think it was 8 seconds. I was actually at that game lol

Arians just said he’s off team. Way to take a stand, Bruce.

As Arians said, Antonio Brown is only going to get one strike.  And since this is his third strike and it was done incredibly publicly, Arians makes the courageous decision.

In Arians' defense, AB would have been gone months ago if it wouldn't have ruffled his quarterback's feathers. Tom did all the water carrying.

Yep. It was Brady's decision all the way.

Tom showed just how cut throat he was when he let AB crash at his house. No way I would let that crazy sumbitch around my family after the way he treated his own family.

I can't wait to hear the logistics on this one. Was Antonio waiting in the locker room at the end of the game like, "Hey, I know I'm off the team, but can I still bum a ride home?" Or did he take an Uber to LaGuardia in his football pants and take the first Delta flight available?

There are millions of people living seemingly quiet lives of desperation. He’s not the first gifted NFL player with mental/emotional problems. He’s just among the most celebrated.

if I was a cop anywhere that he has a house or a baby momma or anything of the sort I would memorize his addresses and when that call comes in be sure to go on break or punch out for the day (like he did)

no fucking way I would show up to a call with him

Brady has a pond and a pool

If he is indeed an asshole (and mentally ill is ok, too), I'd encourage him to register here at Surly, so that he might enjoy some camaraderie with some like-minded fellows.

Here’s Tom telling Gisele that AB needed a place to crash.

I know of a guy (second hand), a pilot. He took a job to fly a plane he didn't have a rating for, that's okay the new boss was going to pay for it. So he convinces boss to give him the money directly and he would pay the training center, well he decides to skip the training and keep the money ($105K or so). Now he needs a First Officer, not required that the FO has a full type rating, but he does need a Second in Command or SIC training. He decided to skip that part too and get the Helicopter guy that works for the same boss to sit right seat. This all comes to light when... they abort a takeoff and run the airplane off the end of a runway. Now he's facing time in the graybar hotel, as is the FO. Not to mention answering to the boss as to where the cash went and why the insurance company isn't wanting to pony up to fix the jet. Instead of facing the music, both guys double down. They steal the boss's helicopter which was last seen flying south, way south.

All that is just to say I STILL don't think that's as stupid or whack as Antonio Brown.

AB will be fine once he calms down. He called his buddy Henry Ruggs to come pick him up.

Seems like him getting suspended for presenting a fake Vax card would constitute at least one previous strike.

there's virtually 0% chance Brown would be the victim on any call.

They've been wearing those since before Lindbergh's baby got nabbed.

Hey now don't be fronting on AB like that.  He made it ALL THE WAY to 3:02 left in the third quarter.

Are you nuts?  Nobody is signing him.  Ever again. You’re not too bright are you?

So has it came out to what led to this? I haven't read anything about it yet or watch any of the game. Did he not get enough targets? Wide open and wasn't seen? This causes a titty fit for many WRs today. It wasn't like they are some shitty team with no future. This was a huge game for them to keep pace for the 2 seed. TB was going to keep him around as long as Brady wanted. He had it made.

I'm very close to retiring and have been pondering how I'm going to do it.  I've been leaning to going full Peter from Office Space and "just quit going."

But now I have new inspiration.

Thank you, AB!

If you were a cop odds are you'd shoot him
