February 17, 20223 yr She looks like an exciting player. So far she’s made highlight reel plays on defense, at the plate, and on the bases.

February 17, 20223 yr Of course, storm-trooperish white is GOAT, perhaps less so for the bat sports. But when I was on campus, white things with orange print or logos were the rage. Mack kind of changed that a bit with the "wear burnt orange" thing. But all orange is rough. Glad the boiz have never adopted such a thing.

February 18, 20223 yr Author Yep, we on TV twice today! Event actually started yesterday, but luckily we got a travel day due to playing on Wednesday in Austin. Tenn 11 - ND 3 Auburn 7 - Tech 1 Wisconsin 9 - UCF 1 Clemson 8 - Tech 0 FSU 9 - Tenn 3 Wisconsin 2 - ND 1 Today is STACKED! This should become the best nonconference tournament because ESPN is willing to air it for free. Sucks to suck, Judi Garmin Classic and all the others that you have to pay to watch via FloSoftball. February 18, 20223 yr Ok St ace Kelly Maxwell pitched a 1 hit shutout vs Michigan. 4-0 Ok St. Ok St is tough.

But I'm always iffy on the northern teams early in the season - how much outdoor field practice time have they actually gotten. They come down to these warm weather tournaments and non-conf games to shake off the rust from their indoor practices because their field is covered in snow or frost. February 18, 20223 yr Poor Parker can't get out of her own way. Eaten up for a weak ground out DP then misses a throw she must catch at this level that turns into a run for FSU. SS is a problem.
February 18, 20223 yr Author Interesting. No JJ and Shea gets the start after her struggles last week
February 18, 20223 yr JJ led off. Shea missing over the plate is not a good start but that effort from Parker was pathetic.
February 18, 20223 yr Just turned the game on to see a very generous called third strike for the first out in the inning. Shea needed that one.
February 18, 20223 yr That was an absolute laser of a throw right on the money to pick off the runner at third. That was a big inning to only get out of with only 1 run allowed.
February 18, 20223 yr Texas gets a hit but leaves the runner on second. Have had a baserunner every inning but still haven't pushed one across.
February 18, 20223 yr Author Jesus Christ. Walk, wild pitch, wild pitch, double. Down 0-3. We are getting run ruled. Shea should not have started this game. She's terrible this year. Edited February 18, 20223 yr by Js1
February 18, 20223 yr Our defense is garbage, and our offense isn’t picking them up today. Just how it is sometimes with Mike White softball
February 18, 20223 yr If they score that a double that’s questionable scoring. That ball has to be caught. Not an easy play but one that should be made. Should be an E7.

February 18, 20223 yr Defense or lack thereof gets magnified against good teams. And bad D is demoralizing and it infuriates fans of good ball. I don’t see how he tolerates it.

February 18, 20223 yr Down 6-0 and FSU has two on with zero outs Still in the 3rd inning... FUCK Edited February 18, 20223 yr by LTtxfan

That low liner in the 2d inn was very catchable. Why save Dolcini for #25 Auburn vs #6 Florida St. Don't anyone jump, old cliche "It is a marathon, not a sprint"

Mike White's "position-less" defense is not going to cut it. Players need reps, in game and in practice, at one position. Relying on an infielder to play OF does no one any favors. We brought it two very legit OF with collegiate experience (Dayton and Gilbert) - play them! Any OF combo of Cantu/Whitaker is not going to win us any games, in my opinion. We have Dayton, Gilbert, Burke and Popelka who can all play OF so we go with our slowest player at RF and someone who played mostly IF last year in LF. Make it make sense. February 18, 20223 yr Author No idea why we threw Shea against FSU and Dolcini against Auburn. Should have flipped. Dolcini will need to go tomorrow against UCLA too…
