July 15, 20241 yr My wife travelled for years with a small cairn terrier in a Sherpa bag. Paid the fee and most of the time no one knew she was in the plane. We’d never put a larger dog below so it would be leave home or drive.

What’s worse is apparently a ride share driver has to accept you and your pet if you say it’s a service animal. No proof needed
July 15, 20241 yr Ornery surly is the best surly. Dogs be cool until you bring them to my house or put them on my flight. Then fuck yo dog.

July 16, 20241 yr I don't get people that travel with animals. That has to be the most traumatic event that animal has ever been through. Noise, crowds, g force, pressurization. Jeezus H Christ.

I’m gone for 3 days (wife is home with them) and I get back and think it’s been years since they’ve seen me. They can put up with a lot of stuff if pack leader is there.
July 19, 20241 yr I’m firmly against people who abuse the emotional support or service animal shit to take their dog on a plane. That said, I would rather fly on a plane full of dogs than a plane full of humans.
July 19, 20241 yr I fully agree. I don’t mind the fake service dogs, but the owners are always complete assholes so fuck them

He also loves people and kids, so he'd have a fucking field day seeing so many people. But I don't want that stress, so he stays home. Edited July 19, 20241 yr by Js1

Emotional support certification no longer works to get your dog on the plane. Only option is crate. Alaska airlines is the best experience that we have had to date across multiple airlines. On our trip to Thailand last month, there were dogs in the cabin on 3 of our 8 flights. All barking. One each on American, Delta, and KAL. They may or may not have been legit, but anyone faking it can fuck themselves right in the face.

I wouldn’t really have given a shit except for 2.5 hours of meowing is fucking ridiculous. Further, and I have stated this before, the contradiction between the allergy policies of airlines with small bags of peanuts and peoples pets is some bullshit. This reminds me, somehow, of the time when I was working on the IAH ramp tossing bags for Continental. A guy turned too hard when pulling up with the baggage trailers, and a pet container rolled off, and hit the ground, opening the door. Poor cat bolts out like lightning, straight away from the plane and toward the runway. Adios, Whiskers. Have a nice life.

Todo este. Fucking dog snapped at me once from a shopping cart I was walking past ... at motherfucking Home Depot. Please, someone explain to me the need to take your dog into Home Depot, or any of the other idiotic places people feel the need to take their dogs these days.
