November 25, 20223 yr They had some good Thanksgiving episodes, like the Indians in the lobby. But I always loved what Bartlett told Josh at the end of the Shibboleth one: ”They've made it to the New World, Josh. You know what I get to do now? I get to proclaim a National Day of Thanksgiving. This is a great job.”
November 25, 20223 yr I learned watching on HLN that the entire series is on HBO Max commercial free. Love the Ainsley Hayes episodes.\

November 30, 20223 yr Was Mallory, Leo's daughter? She's #1 for sure. Lots of one-off appearances by some very saucy women. But for regulars, Mallory 1, Ainsley 2, Mary-Louise Parker 3. Although MLP would be more fun in the sack probably. And one of the other Bartlett girls, not Moss, was smoking hot too. Can't remember which one though /csb

February 9Feb 9 This book came out last summer. I’m just starting it. I thought some people here would be interested. @henrygandorf
February 9Feb 9 Having worked in Gov including the Lege and politics this show always annoyed the fuck out of me. The sanctimonious attitude was such bullshit. Veep was pretty accurate
April 16Apr 16 when i lost it, i didn't pitch anything. i didn't stage a nutty. i fought you, i lost, i had a drink, i took a shower. because that's how it is in the nba. you know what i do when i win? 2 drinks. amy gardner needed more episodes.

She was in just enough. Her self-righteous attitude would wear pretty thin. Cutting Josh's phone cord was bullshit.

Whenever someone said it's "President Bartlett" rather than Bartlett or whatever, my eyes about rolled out of the socket. I've always hated the notion that politicians deserve or are entitled to respect or that their titles are sacred. They work for us and earn our respect, not the other way around.

I get what you are saying, but it was designed to be somewhat of an idealized portrayal of the White House. I loved the stories and the characters. And the way our political environment has gone to absolute shit these days, it makes for a nice escape.

April 16Apr 16 Recently I've caught a few clips WW on Tiktok. I had to shake my head in relation to today's world and WW's naivete of politics. There was one when Bartlett was on the fence about federal death penalty and he didn't want his decision to cause issues for the next President. My reaction.

April 16Apr 16 for a brief time, i was inspired to adopt lord john marbury's memorable greetings in my own life by complimenting women more effusively about their magnificent breasts...as well as referring to people i wanted to needle as gerald.

April 18Apr 18 When Sorkin left after season 4, the tone changed dramatically. I wasn't a big fan of season 5, but it did give us one episode that was outstanding. "Abu el Banat", about the Bartlets celebrating Christmas at the White House. Pretty well written episode, and maybe the only one in my top 10 from seasons 5-7.

December 16Dec 16 Just watched for the first time all the way through and it’s instantly in my all time top 5 TV series. Just phenomenal. I agree that seasons 6 and 7 are basically a completely different show but still top notch. I loved the debate episode. Alda and Smits going at it was peak. CJ was my favorite character. I do think the writers did Will dirty though.

I’d get a Schlotsky’s original with no onions and a special soda, the type of which is escaping me- root beer or cream soda, maybe? Get it back home by 7:55.
December 16Dec 16 Just finished season 1. This will be my 4th complete run through including the original run. Best tv show ever created.
