I've read about how China successfully got the upcoming Top Gun movie to remove the Taiwan and Japan flag from Maverick's jacket. They had to replace them with fake flags that didn't infuriate the CCP. But this is a new one.

China has changed the ending to Fight Club. The original has the "hero" bringing down the financial buildings at the end, but China's new version has the following:

the entire scene featuring the explosions has been cut out. Instead, it has been replaced with a caption explaining to audiences that the authorities arrived just in time to save the day.

"Through the clue provided by Tyler, the police rapidly figured out the whole plan and arrested all criminals, successfully preventing the bomb from exploding," the caption reads. "After the trial, Tyler was sent to [a] lunatic asylum receiving psychological treatment. He was discharged from the hospital in 2012."

Could you imagine watching a movie, and a ridiculous ending description is written on the screen. Is Star Wars able to be seen in its original version in China? Would anyone not equate the Empire and the Emperor to China and Xi?

I've seen it before.  I hope they at least left the Pixies song in.
