So, "WE TV" is running a "Law and Order" marathon. Every episode

I just watched Season 1 Episode 14.  Originally aired in 1991.      Holy fuck. Phillip Seymour Hoffman as a gang rapist.  None other than Samuel Motherfucking L. Jackson as his lawyer.

Man, this show was gritty as fuck.

The list of guest stars on that show is really impressive.  I think this is the second time they’ve done the marathon.  Law and Order must be the only show that they could get syndication rights to.

L & O is great TV.   I’m a known fanatic.
Never got into the spin offs.

WE TV does this ever so often, and if I'm home I try and have it on. The only spin off I watched on the regular was Criminal Intent. It had good seasons and less than good seasons.

I'll be watching a movie with my husband and start spotting actors that were in an episode of the original L&O or one of the spin offs and say--"oh, he played a judge" (Colm Meaney) or she was a killer (Martha Plimpton) or something like that. Roy Scheider, Steve Guttenberg, Tate Donovan, Michael B. Jordan and so on, or sometimes it's a small character actor that hasn't yet moved on to a larger supporting cast role but they have distinctive features or a role that stuck in the brain.

between WE, BBC America, and Sundance, the OG L&O is on a lot.  and i watch it a lot.  i do love when i see an episode i've never watched before that features Lennie Brisco.

I think the show really hit its stride in the Brisco-Logan-McCoy-Kincaid years.

I was out of work for 6 months back in the day and watched NYPD Blue/Law and Order every morning when I woke up.

That was forever ago, jeez

Season 1 Ep 17 on this morning.

S. Epatha Merkerson is a mother who's kids got shot.

It's awesome that she recovered from that so quickly and rose fast through the police ranks to become Captain of the squad that investigated her kid's murder.

"Law and Order" is one of the greatest British TV shows of all time. Right now, they are airing that classic British movie, "The Firm", starring Gene Hackman and Tom Cruise.

there is a "Law & Order:  UK," which BBC America has also run, but i've never seen an episode of that one.

It's all about the Lennie
