Taking the family in March for the baseball series.   Any food/drink recommendations? Last time I was there was about 20 years ago, so I'm hoping there have been some gastronomical improvements.

Only Del Taco within a multi-state radius. Was a must-visit whenever I drove through when I lived in the SE.

The vista is where you want to look.  Motor Supply Company for dinner, Kaminsky’s for dessert.  Actually go to Kaminsky’s for dessert every night.  Had a very solid pimento cheese burger at liberty tap room last time I was there.

Huh?  There are a number of Del Taco locations in metro Atlanta.

Is this fairly recent? Even 2yrs ago I swear there weren't.

The one in Alpharetta went bust pretty quickly.  There might be some others around town. In any case, I'd rank Del Taco near the top of the list of places I'm not going to eat at in Columbia.

I moved to Atlanta 6 years ago.  They were here when I got here.

Thanks. Looks like those places are less than a five-minute walk from the hotel.

No problem.  No one will ever confuse Columbia with Charleston as a food city, but it’s light years better than 20 years ago.  The campus is nice and definitely has some talent walking around.  Founders Park is a badass CBB venue as well.  Enjoy the trip, I’m jealous.

Great burgers at Pawley's Front Porch in the 5 points area.

Take 'em to see the cannonball marks on the Capitol building.

Final tally: Liberty had excellent bar fare. Arabesque for Lebanese is highly recommended. Kaminskys for desserts/ coffee. Yep. Finally, if you like beer, check out Crafts and Drafts.
