I am not going to say about what, I want to have conversations with people from all over tech.

from big tech including cloud (looking at you @Captainant) to global 3000 types to enterprise and SMB types who may only have a few servers they run.

reach out to me via DM, this is related to my real job, not surlyhorns so expect it to be a little more professional and I may bring some work folks to the convo. Looking to have 10-15 conversations with companies of all sizes Monday through Wednesday next week.

Ive owned a smartphone for 4 years so you can say im kinda of a tech big deal

I used to know the formula for how much det cord to use to blow down different sized trees and telephone poles. Could probably puzzle it out again.

I design all kinds of shit using steel, permanent magnets, and copper.  Does that count?

It amuses and annoys me that computer and software people seem to have monopolized the term "tech."

One of the most hilariously inapt news stories I ever saw said something like "747 goes high tech" because it would offer in-flight internet services.  Geezly fucking crow.  Those goddam cave men and their jumbo jets.

Well, maybe I could get some help from tech folks while we’re at it.  When I try to type “glorious” it autocorrects to “gloryhole”.  I think someone has infected my iPad.  Suggestions?

I kind of do...I used to and now took on a bigger role in a smaller company that is tech "adjacent"

Happy to chat..

What every tech person wants. To talk with someone that has a idea to improve everything.

Sounds like a social engineering scam…

Sounds exactly like something a salesman would say

Hopefully it's an app that promotes spiritual wellness/meditation/yoga/sustainable organic clothes/cooking with hemp

that said i can get you in touch with the guy you would want to talk to

I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed.

If you have something that will keep me from spending all night at work when a switch fails but shows no external signs of failure I’m all ears. I could also use something that would allow us to upgrade the OS on a distribution switch on the fly.

If Nimble made a fucking switch, they wouldn’t be able to keep them on the damn shelf.

I've worked at the enterprise level of IT in the public sector over the past decade. Currently supporting life cycle management tools(ALM, Jira, TeamForge, HP PPM) for developers.

I actually like what I do now. Work from home with no user interaction.

Dealing with users every day will make you hate humanity.
